How can we be expected to watch the rest of this season? We're getting smoked by the Giants. 6-0 in the top of the 4th. Folty has given up 3 homers so far.

The only reason to watch is to see the young guys they call up play. Plus I don't have anything better to do during the week after work.

It'd just be a salary swap I'm assuming. There were rumors earlier this year about trading Chris Johnson for Nick Swisher.

It's a done deal now. Michael Bourn and Nick Swisher are Braves, Chris Johnson is an Indian and we're also getting some cash.

A hell of a lot more than I thought we could get for Chris Johnson. There were reports that we were gonna cut our losses and just cut him if we couldn't move him by the end of August.

Bourn is a good speed option. I never cared for him as a Brave. With his speed, it absolutely drove me crazy how often he would ground to first while ahead in the count.

Swisher is a bad contract, but we're getting 10 million to help ease that. We can cut ties with him and still come out cheaper than we would have if we would have released Chris Johnson.

Yep. With the 10 million the Indians are sending us, we can cut Swisher, and while we'll still have to pay him some, it won't be as much had we just cut Johnson, and it'll just be for next season.

Maybe Seitzer or however you spell out hitting coach's name can help Bourn. His speed would play well in our offensive system, and he has a good glove. We just need him to hit the ball on the ground, the other way, take walks and steal bases.

I really like what John Hart is doing. The only "bad" trade he has made was the Olivera one. All the Others I approve of.
