Should the recent news of him not being happy and taking 4 days off for personal reasons be a big deal as far as a draft goes? I took him with the 21st pick

wouldn't really concern myself with it, he's been "aloof" since day 1, but he'll play and he'll produce, as long as his paycheck depends on it

Some site said this has been a scheduled time off for him for awhile, not like it's just coming up now and was approved by the team a few weeks ago

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the "personal reason" for Brandon Marshall's four-day absence from the Bears is a "previously scheduled follow-up appointment after offseason hip surgery."

So in other words, a "football reason." Why the Bears are insisting on deeming Marshall's absence a personal reason — which they did with Brian Urlacher's knee surgery last summer — is anyone's guess. At any rate, it's just a check up, but Marshall has made clear he isn't satisfied with where his hip is at right now. It's still likely his complaining has more to do with conditioning than anything else. We're not expecting any more fireworks.

This from Rotoworld.

I don't think this hip thing is any reason to panic since he has been playing in the preseason games, but it is definitely something to keep an eye on. I would not trade him for anything less than 2nd round value.

I have had Marshall a few times . Believe me , I didnt want him but Dez went 17th. I just have this feeling Dez is going to explode this season for 1500 plus and 15 TDs. Now part of that is bias. Would you trade Brady and Marshall for Dez and Stafford

Me, no; I think people are high on Dez for the last half of the season last year when the prior seasons it wasn't like that. I believe he'll still be a top 5 WR this season but so with Marshall so I'd take Brady over Stafford. I want Dez to prove it for a full season, Marshall has already

I almost traded Marshall for Dez straight up in a keeper league earlier this offseason.
If you could trade just Marshall for Dez, I say take it. I would not do the QB side of that though

That depends on how you feel about Stafford.

For me, Dez is better than Marshall, but it is close. No WR represents a bigger share of their team's passing game than Marshall. I personally do not think Stafford is all that close to Brady, but he has similar upside if things go well. If you are comfortable downgrading to Stafford to land your favorite player, then go for it. Just know that it a risky move. Brady is about as safe as they come at the QB position. Too much has been made of his "lack of weapons" this year.

You know, to be honest, I think I would. I know it isn't wise to second-guess Tom Brady, but I could see them feeding Ridlay the rock more this year with all of their receiving losses, and we all know Stafford is gonna throw 96823 times. If you are enamored with Dez as much as it sounds, I'd do that trade.
