I don't agree with starting Wentz week 1 but I can see the rationale. The Browns suck, and Wentz should be able to beat them.
Can you imagine the Browns fanbase if Wentz plays lights out against them? LOL.

Really aggravating news... the Eagles once again spin a mediocre QB into gold.

How is there always a sizzling market for someone else's "maybe not outright ugly but certainly not hot" pedestrian starting QB? Who were the Vikings bidding against?

Just shows the value of a "competent" QB in the NFL... and the lack of such competency that must be out there.

It's really an unexpected gift for the Eagles. They signed Bradford prior to knowing that they would be able to land Wentz. Once they were able to land Wentz, Bradford became a lame duck QB as the Eagles no longer had the need to renegotiate a long term deal with him. I honestly thought Bradford would be dealt on Draft Day for a Day 3 pick and I would have been happy with it. So to get a 1st "and" and extra pick the following year (which can potentially be as high as a 2nd) is a gift in our laps. I think another gift was getting Doriel Green Beckham ... hearing him talk he realizes that he took many things for granted with the Titans and is ready to work hard and put that behind him. DGB has the size/talent to develop into a top notch receiver. He's only 23 and signs are pointing up since joining the team.

Andy Reid was really a genius at this, taking a mid-round QB, grooming him as your #2 and then dealing him to some poor sucker for draft picks.

I was hoping that after this season, Howie could package Bradford and a pick or two, to move back into the 1st round. With DGB, he is a 1st round talent, and would have been last year except that he had some minor issues, which then made him an early 2nd rounder. Who knows, maybe we have a good luck stream (or God's blessings) going on this year?

Any takers for Ryan Nassib?

The Giants will take a 3rd next year and a 1st the year after that. And you have to stock our gatorade machines for the next 5 years.

Wouldn't mind seeing the Eagles snag Aaron Murray as their 3rd QB. He was just released by the Chiefs.

seems kinda nuts considering his lack of reps.

Or he looks that damn good in practice.

Who could have dreamed the way Bradford would leave the team or Chase looking so ineffective in pre season?

Nice if you can give a rookie QB some time but don't always have that luxury, especially if that QB is looked on as the future.

Main concern would be Carson's ribs being fully healed. Not worth it if he wasn't healthy.

At least we now have a decent o-line to protect Wentz, who got hurt with guys no longer on the team.

I actually just heard about this as we have been busy watching the Tropical storm as we live at the beach and had some great family time these past fews days. I think it is great, this is making the Wentz deal better. We got our #1 back. The only down side is Bradford was the only hope we had this season. I would have liked to have seen Wentz sit back a year, but this stuff happens. Just hoping Wentz can hang in there, I am getting a bit nervous that he played two quarters and he is hurt.

Randle's going into his 5th year? DGB's only his rookie season in ... plus DGB has much better physical tools than Randle ever had. Two completely different situations. Not saying that I expect Doriel to become a 1300 yard guy from the jump, but he still has plenty of time to turn things around.

just stopped in to say Congrats on somehow getting a 1st round pick for Bradford. Then getting a conditional on top of that. Holy :censored:!

Congratulations!

(Guess the Vikings are going all in this season)

I agree that Dorial has a better chance of turning it around. I'm just saying these lazy guys need to do more than talk.

I'm thinking of starting Wentz and Green-Beckham in my fantasy league in week 1. Doesn't Cleveland have some good cornerbacks?
