I am excited about our "chances" on D this year. Not sold on it yet as there has to be some proven examples i.e. health of players.

My bold prediction is that the Cowboys eclipse the rushing yards that Seattle put up as a team last year, over 2700, and we do it with the RBBC approach. Along with that, Dez proves that he can be as elite as Calvin when he was healthy. He has nothing to prove to me, but to himself as he is going to want to go into the next season as the highest paid WR in the game. The Boys end up being in the top 5 for Offense.

At times it looks like Randle can find holes and accelerate threw them as fast or faster than Murray.

I see him having a very good year but the only concern is how much of a load can he carry. He does not have that Murray physique better suited to take a beating. With all the RB's hopefully they can the right balance.

Totally disagree with the bolded. Totally agree with the underlined. Murray's vision and patience is incredible IMO. He also had a lot of power (and a damn good stiff arm) that allowed him to get through those holes and around the outside and offset some of the lack of explosiveness that he has compared to other NFL RBs.

1. Randle stays out of trouble and runs for 1500 yards proving it was more about the OL than it was about Murray
2. Gregory Finishes with 12 sacks and is picked as DROY.
3. Romo Falls 1 Game shy of leading boys to the SB loosing again to the darn packers.
4. snookdad reclaims his title in the pigskin pickum.
5. We all enjoy the ride.

2700+ yards is a bold prediction indeed, because we don't have a quarterback than can rush for 800 yards.

It's possible we don't even have a RB that rushes for 800 yards this year!!!

Yes but with our O line and the fact that we need to keep Romo upright by handing off handing off and handing off and then handing off handing off handing off we might get there.

True true, I just don't see Dunbar getting there.:suds:

I thought we were kidding. No to 3 with 750 and 4 with 500 IMO. Thing is we don't need as many yards as last year (which is good because we aren't likely to get it) we just need to stay dedicated and run when we need to - late in games when winning, 3rd and 4th and short, goal line, etc. dedication to the run will lead to good things for this team even if it isn't as obvious as an MVP candidate at RB. I screamed for years to dedicate to the run and we finally did it. It would be very frustrating for me if we reversed course just because things got a little tougher...

Sorry I was just being a dick because I know you like Dunbar.

In all honesty I think Randle will get the majority of the carries and top 1000, but if they do go RB by committee all bets are off on who leads in yards. I think Jerry is pulling for McFadden.

I think the team definitely is thinking that Randle will be the most used as of right now. I just hope they go by who does the best in camp and the preseason games and I haven't given up on that being Williams

Williams couldnt even make it through OTAs with out injuries setting him back. Good luck with that...

Neither could McFadden. What's the point? Are we concerned with who looks best in helmets and shorts or during games?

I hope it works out on the running game. I've got my worries. I think the Cowboys are banking on Randle. McFadden and Williams COULD get it done, but recent track record for both guys is cause for concern IMO

I am cautiously optimistic. If Randle and McFadden can prove to get the job done, Stephen Jones is going to look like a genius.

Based on his approach the last few years, I can't imagine that he let Murray go without considerable input from JG. If the coach is fine with who we have to replace him, I'm thinking we will be just fine.

I am on record that Randle has the best chance of carrying the load. May the best man win....
