Bird better than LeBron

To be honest if I were building a basketball team, I'd take Bird and about five other players over Lebron, including Dr. J and 'Nique. These kids nowadays never were awed by either. 'Nique would crush Lebron.

No he won't. Wilkins was a great player. Lebron is just as good if not better.

Kobe isn't too high. He's one of the greatest to ever lace them up. He may not be likable but he's a great player.

Larry Bird couldn't perform high flying dunks but he was the best small forward the game has ever seen...and that's coming from a Laker fan who hated the Celtics. LeBron is obviously more athletic and a better one on one defender but, Bird was better at every other aspect of the game.

He isn't better at scoring at the rim, isn't better at rebounding, I think Lebron is also a better passer. But Bird's jumpshot is one of the best ever.

He isn't a worse rebounder. He had two 7 footers to clean up the boards. LeBron has only Bosh who isn't a rebounding specialist.

You could say Lebron defends perimeter more, but he can defend 1-5. Lebron is a better defender and passer, better vision. Better scorer in the paint. So I will give you rebounding and jump shooting, but really everything else is Lebron. All-around scorer Lebron is better bc of his versatility.

But on my all-time list Bird is still ahead of course bc of accomplishments. Top 5-6 player in my opinion.

If you think that, you never saw 'Nique play!! They didn't call him The Human Highlight Film for nothing!! He would dunk on anybody, didn't care who you were!!

Yah I understand he is was a freak but you still have to get around someone to dunk on them in the paint. Lebron with his big frame could hold him good, but Dominique will still get his highlight reel film, just wouldn't be efficient doing it.

'Nique was never the model of efficiency, but he sure was fun too watch!! As good as he was and as exciting as he was, I don't think he ever became as good as he could have been. He was a bit of an underachiever, imo!!
