That's not when he renegotiated the first time. That is also when other concessions were made to Marv. We had a huge thread on it at the time. I can't help if you can't remember.

It makes no difference if there were a 'huge thread' about it. We have no idea about how the Bengals are managed. None. Everything is speculation as it always has been. Give me one piece of concrete evidence that there was a 'changing of power.' You can't because it doesn't exist.

And as I said, if you knew anything about the Bengals you'd know that Marv didn't take over personnel stuff until 08ish.

I would like to see ANY kind of documentation with regards to this claim.

BTW -- The best draft benefiting the Mavin Lewis era occurred two seasons before he joined the club. In 2001, the Bengals draft Justin Smith, Chad Johnson, Rudi Johnson, and TJ Houshmanzadh. That's 4 all-pro players in one draft..... Blind squirrels sometimes get nuts.

I can speculate all I want. I don't see it as a coincidence that the drafting started to get better as the speculation of Lewis gettin more power started. You all can keep your little Bengals cant draft, Marvin Lewis is good for nothing circle jerk going if you want. Have fun.

Smith was never an all pro for us. Don't act like he was. I highly doubt Housh or Rudi were were ever all pro. Pro bowl maybe. All Pro, doubtful.

I think you're being unreasonable. There's no reason for us to argue. This is not a good team. They haven't been a good team since almost before you were born. There really is nothing to dispute here.

And I would like documentation you aren't mentally retarded. We can't always get what we want. You really think that stuff is public ally available?

I'm not saying they are a good team.

04, 05, 06, 07, 08 drafts and the only actual contributors we have (maybe) Leon Hall, and Peko. That is inexcusable.

Yes. We will, because that's what the numbers prove.

I'm fairly certain you're intoxicated. God bless you. I am too!

Whit, Joseph was a good draft pick we just let him go, same with Rucker and Fanene, And then Hall and Peko.

We're they bad drafts? Yeah, we're they as bad as you said? Nope.

What exactly is your point, though? Are you saying this team isn't horribly run? Are you saying we'll be in the playoffs? I'm confused.

Yet none of those guys are contributing to the Bengals. Any other real franchise doesn't just let their top picks walk after their rookie contracts. Even if we do consider them, 5 total guys in 5 years is a joke.

Smith is one of the best players in the NFL - It's not really his problem that Marvin and the boys couldn't figure out how to use him or use their heads when it came time to keep him.

Justin Smith is a freak-show. We probably ruined his Canton chances.

Have you paid attention to the Patriots, Steelers, Ravens etc. When the players want a ton of money they let them walk. From what Joseph said the Bengals offered the same money he just didn't want to come back. Are we horribly ran? Yeah. Are we AS horribly ran now, I don't think so.

Mike Brown is trying to move this team out of Cincy, I just know he is, he hates this area and that's why he tries to dick it in the butt and play the victim.

How do you continue to compare the Bengals to franchises like this? If it's with a straight face, its even worse. I have paid attention to those teams. Paid attention to them winning playoff games. They all have front offices who care about winning, good coaches, good players, and rings.

I wish they would move. I'd gladly root for Indy. I'd go to their games. I won't be caught dead in PBS. They sicken me. They really do. I abhor them. I live here, though. I was born here. Maybe I'm old-fashioned? I guess that's my curse. I would give anything to not have to root for these assholes.

I see Tubbs is making up facts again.

Nobody has ever had a conversation on this board saying Marvin became in control of draft picks after '08. Nor has any information ever leaked as such.
