Fuck that, Ingrid. They're 5th in revenue and as you said, they're not just Boston's team, they're new england's team.

I'll give them a lot of credit for winning four championships in fifteen years, but not for their revenue.

We still on for camping this weekend?
You spotted me being full of shit, as usual.

I wouldn't miss camping even if I had a positive herpes test!
BTW, you already have it, right?

Right, for all the gnashing of teeth on the payroll imbalances, MLB hasn't seen a repeat World champ in 18 years. And counting.

Here is where MLB and NFL are more exciting than the NBA. NBA action is great, but the finals are predictable.

I think the Red Sox should get some credit for generating so much revenue in a fairly small metro area, something like the tenth biggest in the US.
Of course, their tremendous fanbase extends to Maine, NH, Vermont, RI, CT, and Western MA....but that's hardly a bad thing, right? Shit, the cubbies aren't even popular in Southern Illinois...

And the small size of the park adds to that accomplishment.

Slink, you are a bit bitchy today. Did a meanny piss in your corn flakes this morning?

You're not wrong, and I noticed that too, Carnzo.

I'm feeling stabby because of the Indians' quick playoff exit the last two years, and the fact that the Red Sox are going to win 4th championship in 15 years.

Don't speak too soon, I heard that the 98% senile Tommy Lasorda is being brought in to replace the 100% senile Dave Roberts for the remainder of the WS

Yup, even Pedroia once hit a home run there.......

And yet some hitters have a hard time in it. Go figyure. It IS quaint. Some of the seats can be rickety, uncomfortable and small and some sight lines are terrible but there is something to be said for being close to the action as opposed to some of the larger stadiums like, ummm, Yankee Stadium. The current ownership actually spent real money to improve the park and the atmosphere and for the most part they've done a very good job.

Any word on where JD is going to be for the NL games?
I know he played a fair amount of OF during the season and has never played 1B in the majors. His advanced stats in the OF were pretty bad this year.

And why did it not strike me until now that the Bosox had another JD in Drew not too awfully long ago?

I took a shit this morning that very well might have been retarded, but it would still beat @Montalban at checkers.
AT least this one was funny. You are getting better and at least getting away from your absurd argument that Boston and L.A. are not in the Series because of money they spent.
