In that same article, they say that Chen is scheduled for a rehab start on Saturday and that Schoop is looking to come back on July 17th.

From ESPN.

Why the FUCK would the Orioles bring in ANOTHER injury prone second baseman? Flaherty is a hell of a defensive fielder and since they brought him back up, his bat has been decent (not spectacular, but it's serviceable).

That's easy, Flaherty plays good D but have you looked at his batting average lately ? He is so far below the Mendoza line that even a 1 for 5 night raises his average. The Birds should look at anybody to upgrade their roster. Just don't mortgage the future.

My only argument is that lately, since they brought him back up, he's been batting somewhat decent. Before they sent him down, his BA was sitting around .120 if I remember correctly and it's up to .170 the last I checked. That's a 50 point bump in a couple of weeks. He's no longer a guaranteed out.

I like Flaherty D but even at .170, we could use some offense from that position. I don't see any real help down on the farm so like it or not, he is our best option. I'm glad JJ Hardy has turned it around, just hope Flaherty can too.

Just wanted to point out that Flaherty is hitting .306 in June bringing his season average up to .215.

Bronx bombers no more. I think Baltimore is gunning for that nickname.

And Machado just got his 38th double.

Fucking fans. That's why I'd be afraid to sit in the front row cause I know I'd be going for the ball as well.

Great to get the sweep. And am I wrong in thinking that it doesn't feel quite as monumental in doing so as it would have two years ago or so? I won't say it quite feels like I expect it... but I'm almost.. almost.. to the point where it feels like 'Ah, well this was a very real possibility. Good Job, O's'. Not being blasé about it, but I feel like we have a chance to sweep at home against just about every team. Anyone else starting to feel that way?

It is so bizarre looking at Chris Davis's slugging %... .728. I'm just not used to seeing that.. with any player.
