Buck gets a kick out of Jones' game winning homer vs. Mariano and the Yankees.

I didn't catch the game, but I just looked at the boxscore. Markakis at leadoff... okayyyy... Hardy hitting 3rd...'kayyyy.. I dunno, that lineup looked a little screwy to me. I understand wanting to ease Roberts back in, but what is Hardy doing hitting 3rd?

The past couple games, Buck has bumped Jones to 3rd and Davis to 4th. With everyone coming back off the DL at the same time, the lineup is looking screwy to me too. I'd like to see us go back to what has been working so well.

1 - Markakis / McLouth
2 - Manny
3 - McLouth / Markakis
4 - Jones
5 - Crush
6 - Wieters
7 - Hardy
8 - Flaherty
9 - B-Rob

If B-Rob is DH'ing (like he has been the last couple games), I'd like to see Flaherty in the lineup over Casila.

Ascencio for Max Scherzer! The Tigers need the bullpen help!

I'd like to point out that Buck moved Jones and Crush back to the 4th and 5th spot respectively yesterday and we saw the results.

I'd like to point out that Buck moved Jones and Crush back to the 4th and 5th spot respectively yesterday and we saw the results.

The results were 8 hits with 2HR, one by Chris Davis and one by Adam Jones. The Blue Jays got 9 hits. The top three spots in the lineup went 2 for 11. The 6 through 9 slots went 2 for 14. There was only one walk, so the offense was more fortunate than prolific.

What should be pointed out is how well Feldman pitched. I wasn't exactly thrilled when I heard about the move, but we didn't really give up much for him. Arrieta I think is done and may never figure it out as a starter, and Strop may have been a flash in the pan. We needed solid starting pitching and it is the one thing holding this team back.

I've got respect for Mariano Rivera, but I was kinda tickled to see that in a SportsNation poll, Maryland was the one state that more "no" votes than "yes" votes to the question of "Would you be ok with your stadium playing 'Enter Sandman for him?"

My vote? :hellno:

I too have a lot of respect for Mo, he is a class act all the way. However, I don't agree with the All Star MVP selection. They gave it to him because he is retiring? So what. HOF is waiting for him. The award should have gone to a player who really had the best game over anyone else.
:wtf2:

I was just perusing some old Facebook statuses of mine and came across these two and thought they were pretty funny.

O's go 7-1 since hiring Buck. If this is a sign of the future, being an O's fan might not hurt so much.

Wooo!! The O's are no longer the worst team in baseball!! Suck it Pittsburgh!

It has been a fun ride with Buck at the helm.

It's amazing, isn't it? Wasn't that long ago that the O's were 31 - 70 before he came aboard. 31-70! It's painful to remember those days. I'll admit at the time thinking Trembley got an unfair shake.. but in hindsight it was a great move by the front office. That's why I'm not GM.

Trembley did get an unfair shake. He should have never been promoted to permanent head coach.
