Where does Reimold fit? Is he going to be spelling McLouth in left, playing DH... trying to figure out what his status is with the club.

I've been wondering the same thing. We have quite a few guys on the DL that should be returning soon or have returned recently (Roberts, Reimold, Betemit, Pearce). The lineup as a whole has been hitting well (even Flaherty) and we're one of the best defenses in baseball.

edit: The only position in our lineup that has had problems with getting hits has been the DH. Do you keep Brian in that spot and let Flaherty stay in the field?

Well, I just saw the lineup card for tonight's game and we have Reimold in Left Field and Roberts at 2nd with Valencia DH'ing. Not sure I agree with the tampering.

McLouth with the night off. It's not like he's bad against left handed pitching, but they're facing a lefty tonight so hopefully that's the reason. He's earned his spot in the lineup this year, he deserves to play.

LET'S GO O'S!!!!!!!!!!:yahoo:

meh, go O's

Welcome aboard guise.

Haven't kept up on how many games McLouth has been playing without getting a day off here or there. Reimold obviously fits the bill with respect to that. Roberts at 2nd.. well, I'd like to see how he's doing with everyday wear-and-tear, but it does seem a little unfair to Flaherty with the way we've been getting more out of him at the plate. If it wasn't for the fact that Roberts has a history of being a damn good hitter, I'd be a little leery of the move too.

We've been getting a few good wins together, so I admit to also not wanting to tamper with the lineup too much. Not superstition or anything, but I'm never keen when we replace more than a player or two per game to give someone else a rest. Eh, we'll see.

I absolutely agree with that. As far as I'm concerned, it's his job to lose. We've needed a leadoff hitter like him since the days of Roberts and Corey Patterson. I love Reimold to death, don't get me wrong.. but in my mind McLouth is our left fielder.

I may have to rethink my position on B-Rob. He just made a hell of a one handed grab and throw to first.

I didn't catch the game, but I just looked at the boxscore. Markakis at leadoff... okayyyy... Hardy hitting 3rd...'kayyyy.. I dunno, that lineup looked a little screwy to me. I understand wanting to ease Roberts back in, but what is Hardy doing hitting 3rd?

Red Sox fan here wishing you well against the "Sinstripes" tonight.

Your game might be over before my team's west coast road game gets started,
so I may watch both. That's no sure thing, but so what?

McLouth with another day off. Looks like it's gonna be a regular thing with him getting off verse lefties.
