Fuck Mo. That is all.

You have no idea how happy I'm going to be for each blown save the rest of the season. And I hope there are many.

Red Sox fan here hoping your Orioles beat Texas tonight.

That would increase the chances of the team I call the "Sinstripes" missing the post-season totally.
I would LOVE that!

Chris Davis quit twitter.

Chris Davis quit Twitter | HardballTalk

Know what? Good for him. You just know this steroid talk wasn't going to go away. He doesn't need to read that shit.

Blessed Be, Chris. You've done right with God and he's smiled upon you. Wish you nothing but the best.

From Elias: J.J. Hardy's 17th home run of the season capped a four-run sixth inning that propelled the Orioles to a 9-2 victory at Kansas City. The American League's starting All-Star shortstop has hit 69 home runs, all while playing as a shortstop, in his three seasons with Baltimore, by far the most by any big-league shortstop over that span. (Troy Tulowitzki stands at distant second, with 55.) Hardy's homers have maintained the Orioles' power-hitting tradition at that position. Since 1982 (Cal Ripken Jr.'s first season as the team's regular shortstop), Orioles shortstops have hit a total of 622 home runs, by far the most for any major-league team's shortstops; second place belongs to the Brewers, with 460 homers from their shortstops - 75 of which were hit by Hardy from 2005 to 2009!

Thought this was an interesting tidbit.

Our next SIX series are against mediocre to bad teams. There is only one team that we play with a record above .500.

3 vs. Houston - Last place in the AL West - .337
3 vs. Seattle - 3rd in the AL West - .476
2 @ San Diego - 4th in the NL West - .458
3 @ San Francisco - Last place in the NL West - .442
3 @ Arizona - 2nd in the NL West - .514
3 vs Colorado - 3rd in the NL West - .477

Anything less than a 15-2 record out of this stretch and I'll be disappointed. After this little run, the schedule ramps up a bit.

Don't forget, we will have Hammel and Feldman pitching against them.

I still have hope for Feldman. All you guys are dumping on him for his latest poor showing, but what about the 3 good outings prior to that? Time will tell.

He's just not that good.

So are the O's going to continue to let the Red Sox show them up by acquiring pieces at the deadline to improve their club and not ours. We need a bonafide SP and a real DH. Just read the Sox are in talks about acquiring Young from the Phillies.

WTF is Buck thinking? He says the Yankees will get Wieters in 2 years if A-Roid is suspended. Why does he have to bring Wieter's name up at all? This is bizarre.

Happy Birthday to Adam Jones. And, B.T.W, this is a cake, and not a box of chicken.

Just looked at San Fran's rotation and we're scheduled to miss both Lincecum and Bumgarner.

This is not a playoff team this year. We essentially lost two of three at home to both the Astros and Mariners. Feldman has been a disappointment and now Gonzo has lost his touch. That coupled with untimely hitting (today was especially horrid,,,,0-11 RISP). Things do even out over time and we are paying the price for winning the close games last year. I think the mojo and the team confidence were all destroyed when JJ went on that bad stretch of blown saves. I truly dont think we have been the same team since.:yahoo:

Earl being Earl.

It was on this date back in 1975 that Earl Weaver is ejected twice by umpire Ron Luciano. The fiery Baltimore manager is thrown out in the first game of a doubleheader and is tossed again before the start of the second game.

Trust this Red Sox fan on our acquisition of Peavy. We gave up to much for him.

Jose Iglesias, the shortstop we sent to the Tigers in the 3 team deal, is going to be a
better hitting version of Mark Belanger. A no-2-ways-about-it Gold Glover who can hit better than most such.

Peavy has done well, but I want Iglesias back!

Here's hoping your team can beat Tampa Bay tonight!

While he skirts the subject of whether he might actually go after a job, Cal Ripken Jr. has had thoughts of managing a big-league team, he indicated this week on Table Manners.
“I don’t know. I’ve been asked to interview for managing jobs before, not too long ago,” he said. “And I’ve always thought, if you have no interest in taking in then you shouldn’t go through the process. But I’m curious as I’ll get out there, what questions are they going to ask? What baseball quiz are they going to give me that I can’t answer? So to me it’s interesting.”
Ripken also mentioned some of the other new managers that he played with during his Hall of Fame career, like Don Mattingly and Robin Ventura.
Of course, if Ripken did decide he wanted to manage, the Orioles job probably isn’t going to be open for at least another two or three years with Buck Showalter doing such good work. Ripken would probably be better off going elsewhere anyway.
