1) i tend to lower the expectations of guys returning from serious injuries
2) lots of unknowns to the offense. We still don't know if they will be good. And what if they spread the ball around?

As a fan, sure I want him to do well. But he's ranked pretty high for a guy and a team with lots of question marks.

JMO, but it is hard not to buy into the Mahomes hype... What other QB, has a top 15 WR, top 5 TE, Top 10 RB, and other high potential players...

Sammy Watkins could easily be a top 20 WR too...

If you are predicting Kelce, Hunt, and Hill to be close to that, then how can you not like Mahomes??

Plus Mahomes runs a little...

I think the two opinions are

1) Like Mahomes
2) Think ADP on Chiefs players are all a bit too high

and I think there is some truth to both. Its just that there are a lot of other QBs with a proven track record to like, too. As much as I like Mahomes, he is a hard sell as your QB1. I think he is best if you can pair him with a safe QB like Big Ben, Rivers, Stafford, Ryan, etc.

I dont think Mahomes losing his job is a reasonable fear. Lots of people would get fired. Chad Henne is a subpar backup with no upside.

The risk with Mahomes is that he might turn the ball over a lot to a defense that might have a hard time getting off the field.
