Jesus, now we have both zona and falcon fans giving us the business up on our team board.

You want to blame someone for that loss? Blame the non existent offense for the entire first half for the birds. Start there. Show up to play 4 quarters next time.

Or, don't give up the lead after you managed to take advantage of all of the miscommunications that flat out gave you 2 of those 3 TD's in the 3rd. If your defense can't hold the lead don't cry to anyone else over losing, or how that loss came. HOLD THE DAMNED LEAD.

Don't like that reason? How about not turning it over twice in the game. Both times leading to scores. You can't go giving the ball up twice on the road and win those many times. Seattle had those same problems when they faced Atalanta in the playoffs in '12.

Everyone over emphasizes the last play of any game. Really any sport. That missed PI was no more a part of that story than any of those other chances lost to bad play by their own team.

It's over Seattle won, let's put it to bed, and me to bed.
But we win that game by 10 in Atlanta..right ?
Later all, it's in good humor I point these things out.

You barely lost to a seattle team that was missing it's stud safety, one key D linemen, had a still visibly hobbled QB, was without their only real RB in Rawles and is so depleted at RB they have a guy playing substantial snaps who was cut from another team a few weeks back, they lost Bennett during the game, and one of their TE's.

Seattle couldn't run the ball and had bad play from the backup safety as one of those TD's he was basically asleep out there. Wilson couldn't run for shit. Actually one play letting a lineman run stride for stride with him to the sideline.

And yet still won the game.

Take whatever moral victory you need to. It won't take the W off the books and it won't take away that tie breaker for the playoff race.

Point what out, that Atlanta won a hypothetical home game by ten?

They must have had an AMAZING third quarter in that game!

That is called interference 9 out of 10 times.
It wasn't a hail Mary either, it was a clean route and the defenders were behind Julio till Whiny Richard hooked his arm. If he didn't interfere it's at worst at the 30 with time on the clock and a kicker who hasn't missed this season.

Was it PI? Yes.

Was it as blatantly bad as everyone is saying? Not really. He didn't grab his arm and physically pull it out of the way. He prevented JJ from raising his arm cleanly.

I don't think that the refs had a good angle to see it. Still, it was questionable if it would have been caught and there was (as pointed out) a pass interfence earlier that most likely cost the Seahawks a TD. It was just the point in the game that it happened that brought the focus on this play.

As far as "Whiny Richard", you might want to look in the mirror a bit since you are over here on the Seahawks board crying about this incessantly.

I just wonder if this means Seattle's secondary is going to see a lot more PI calls against the Cards or though out the rest of the season in order to show the NFL community that they will not allow the Seahawks to rough up WR. :noidea:

It's the '05 Superbowl lesson. They can't call em' all. So you play the way you play, and live with the ones that go against you.

:nono:
If that same game on that same day were played in Atlanta they don't end up having the same communication issues on defense and Seattle wins by at least 17. This isn't the first time they have had these signal issues and they are always at home where it's louder for them. Sherman nearly cost us the game with his rage fit, but that doesn't happen if the game is on the road.

The truth is the Falcons had basically no offense against that defense all day until they started fighting with each other and handed them 3 scores.

Once they recovered the Falcons didn't have another 3rd down conversion. It was back to lights out.

Just keeping it real.
