Anyway, on the whole game and not just that one play, 3 quarters of great football and 1 really lousy one. The good news is the team is good enough to overcome some bad play and still get the W. They didn't do that enough last year. It's great to see Graham having such a huge impact on every game, and it's great to see ET's game get back to what we expect. Some down moments for sure, but that was a satisfying win to me over some of our top competition in the NFC.

Sherman was basically going to prom with Jones with his arm around him.

PI ? Yes but so was the missed call on Kearse which would have gave Seattle another 7 where they ended up getting 0.

The Main reason the Ref did not throw the flag is because Sherman was watching the football the WHOLE time. They have stated over and over that if you are looking back for the ball they will allow some contact.

So was there PI on Sherman? Yes by the rule there was PI. Was there PI on the Deep pass to Kearse ? Yes by the rule there was PI on the Kearse deep pass.

For more than a decade almost TWO us Hawks fans have ALWAYS been on the short end of that stick. We are starting to get some calls go our way even though we still gets some BAD calls on us like the PI on Sherman EARLIER in that game. Or the PI on Sherman when Brandon Marshall Threw Sherman out of his way lol YES when BM THREW RS out of the way to catch a ball RS got called for PI. LMAO

We don't feel sorry for you, we just accept that you now feel our pain and we got the win.

Look... This game was like a baseball game in innings 1-3... Pitcher's trying to figure out where the ump's strike zone will be... No different in this game... Ref's let plays like Sherman's/Jones go uncalled all night long... It was the way the game was going to be called and they didn't change their tune on that last play... Point is, the ref's pretty much let them play all game long like that...

A different officiating crew may have called it differently but that crew let them play all night long... At least they were consistent...

Sherman knew he couldn't defend Julio so he held JJ's right arm down to his side when the ball got there.
It wasn't 2 players going for the ball or incidental contact, he was beat and committed an intentional foul, using basketball language.

One half of bad ball by Atlanta and one good.
The good news is for the second week in a row they played well enough to win on the road in the 2 toughest home stadiums for road teams in The NFL.

Jones had very little chance at making that catch, it was high and outside, barely got his near hand on it little chance he gets the other one there too.

If Jones was so dominant and uncoverable, why did he do nothing in the 4 big pass plays leading up to final play, except turn the ball over?

And On that final play, JJ made illegal contact to get "open".

Better team won.

1 good quarter.

Wrong, defense was good in the 4th quarter, offense by it's nature is spotty.
A defense needs to be consistent but you can score in bunches with the same result as spreading it out over 4 quarters.

He had the one bad play. No receiver is open every play, if they were the best would have 4000 yards a season.

Seattle had their best offensive quarter of the game in the 4th.

Yep. I agree. It's not so easy to get open when it's not a blown coverage. Unless you make illegal contact of course.

Seattle had their best offensive quarter of the game in the 4th.

If one real drive of 70 yards and a FG off a fluke turnover is the best, ok. The second qt Seattle scored 10 to 9 in the 4th.
Of course it's a 4 qt game and Atlanta had more yards, the same number of first downs and 19 fewer seconds possession. The only real negative for Atlanta was 2 turnovers to none for Seattle. I figure in Atlanta we win that game by 10.

We're going to have to build more of a pass rush to contend for a title though.
The 2019 Super Bowl will be played in The Falcon's amazing new stadium, that will be a good time to win it all.

Julio is capable of getting the ball even with good coverage. Even the best win well under 50% of the time though.

Just a bunch of salt is all i hear here. Like it or not this is nothing new. On a 4th down hail mary type throw they RARELY call that. Sorry you lost but the fact of the matter is ... YOU LOST. Move on. Ask your team why they were outscored in the first quarter, second quarter and FOURTH QUARTER. Yes Atlanta had a HUGE 3rd quarter but the last time i checked NFL games have 4 of them not one.

Missed calls on both teams and Both had a chance to take points off the board for the Seahawks AND The Falcons. You want to give Sherman a PI then admit that there was one on Kearse at the 1/2 yard line that BTW the Hawks got 0 points that drive. END OF STORY!

say the Hawks kick a field goal from the 1/2 yard line then they are up 5 and it takes a TD from Atlanta, yeah they were not going to score a TD again on that Defense so the PI point is void :) And had the Hawks scored a TD ( which they would have from the 1/2 yard line ) then the so called PI on Sherman is again voided. Doesn't help you being behind by 9.

Move on and stop rubbing salt into your own wound LMAO!

They also had a good drive that resulted in a missed FG. Seattle had more plays, more yards per play, and more points in the 4th quarter than any other in the game. I'd say that means that was their best offensive quarter of the game.

That is called interference 9 out of 10 times.
It wasn't a hail Mary either, it was a clean route and the defenders were behind Julio till Whiny Richard hooked his arm. If he didn't interfere it's at worst at the 30 with time on the clock and a kicker who hasn't missed this season.

Not really, they had 9 pts in the 4th, 10 pts in the second.
The Hawks only had the one scoring drive of 70 yards, the FG came off a Falcons turn over.
