Wilson look like he's about to get into rhythm. That was a great screen call by Bevell.

:wtf: First of all are you saying that fans know more than anyone who played/coached the game if they see more if it? And second, you do know that both of them work for KJR and not only watch every single minute of it, but break down game film. Millen watches every play of every game multiple times.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't disagree with what you said more. Just flat out wrong.

I think that Bevell is a mediocre play caller with top tier talent. The team he talent coaches makes him look better than he really is. I don't really think he is holding the team back but he is not doing us any favors either. I do believe that the offense would see a slight improvement from a better offensive coordinator though. There are times that I cannot stand the formations he uses or his lack of play action use.

On that 3rd and 6 play we converted but why go with an empty shotgun set??? No threat of the run. I'm surprised that Holmgren would have good things to say about Bevell since Holmgren himself was so vanilla and predictable at times.

I would just like to see less shotgun and more play action.

And that was a nice play call. Thank god it's a first so we don't see a spread, empty backfield call on 3rd and inches. And do you see that? Toss to Lynch to give him a head of steam instead of handing it to him flat-footed with the stupid read option. THE READ OPTION DOESN'T WORK! It hasn't worked since last season, but we still go with it. Lynch is a power back and we should be giving him the ball out of power formations. We should also be running play action out of it as well.

Last couple of plays was on Bevell. He kept it simple and mixing it up. The screen play was perfect, then to come back with a running call like that after Wilson airing it up 3-4 consecutive times. He just needs to keep it simple and not get too creative.

I will preface my criticisms of Bevell by saying that I have complained about the Seahawks play calling for years. Maybe I'm just picky when it comes to play calling.

I just believe that Bevell would be better off having Wilson take more snaps under center and running more play action.

Here's my take on Bevell...

He has had his moments where you scratch your head but overall he's had a really good year calling plays. Fans on here are always so quick to jump on the "it's Bevell's fault" bandwagon. He is the biggest scapegoat target and honestly...it's not really fair

Stop with all the Bevell hate. Every game thread it pops up when we don't have a TD drive. At the end of the day no matter what the play call is...the players have to execute and they need to be held accountable too.

It's been shown before. Wilson and Bevell will destroy blitzing defenses.

There! I have no idea why we haven't been running that play more often. Get him the ball with his feet moving.

pretty sure last season we averaged less than 6 plays per game in the read zone and this year they only run it here and there as well.

What Holmgren and Millen say most about the offensive woes is they need improved line play. That's what they pick on ever week in game film break down. You might be surprised how often Millen faults Wilson's decision making as well, but they appear to blame more of the problems with what is happening on the field vs what the coaches are doing.

Life ain't fair. IMO the Seahawks succeed despite Bevell's play calling. He is not holding us back but he is an easy person to blame when a drive goes bad because he is not exactly helping us.

Jesus. 3rd and 3 to 3rd and 8. Offense does not look good going into the playoffs. We need Harvin. These guys have great hands but they have problems getting open.

Freaking delay of game forced the Hawks into throwing situation. HOW DO YOU ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN?
