Yes, they were one of the teams that voted to play initially. They did "voluntarily" decide to not play Illinois, but other than that they've pushed as hard as they could to play every week. They were the only B1G team to come back after a pause in activities after only one week

I know this has been pointed out in other threads. I'm not reading this entire crapfest. The reason they changed the rule is because even had OSU played scUM this weekend and somehow managed to lose, they would still be in the B1G CCG because they have the tiebreaker over Indiana.

The rule they’re changing is a conference rule, not an NCAA rule, so as far as I’m concerned they can do whatever they want. If the outcome of the rules they agreed on before the season doesn’t turn out the way they wanted, change the rules.

I will have no argument about the B1G fucking this all up. I wopulent even argue if the the CFB committee decided to keep us out of the playoff for not having the resume. That being said, they absolutely deserve to play in the B1G CG. They did try to get in a game this weekend to fulfill the 6 game requirement, but the commissioner want going to budge on changing the schedule up. It's not the Buckeyes fault.

Its not like the committee isn't going to know OSU is the best team in the league even if they don't get the trophy for it. Does it matter if they beat NW instead of Iowa or Wisky?

Eh... I'm an Iowa fan and could give a shit less. Like we are ranked 3rd on basketball and if you told me we could win the B10 but would lose S16 or we'd not win the B10 and I'd get no guarantees on how deep we make it in the tourney im taking the latter all day

And I have to say, it's amazing to me how big this is being made out to be for changing a made up rule from a couple months ago, comparing it to the ACC and them changing the rules. OSU's situation is being blown up 100x vs. the ACC's situation which I don't recall next to anything being said about it......... wonder why that is.
