I’m happy with Haskins @ 15 then to see Snyder move up to get Sweat was awesome. I’m really hoping the redskins get a wr in the 3rd. I like Isabella a lot. Great slot receiver, but he can go outside with his speed.

I am very glad the Pat's got a WR over 5'10". Should be a solid edition to the Pat's. Should be making nice plays for Brady. Excited to see what they do in the next rounds. Not as fast as I thought he was but as long as he runs the routes right it should be a great move

Well the inked D. Thomas one year deal Vet presence, well see if there is anything left in the tank. Not sure we will get Gordon back but my gut is NOT!!!!. So This kid could end up opposite Thomas, I fully suspect they will take in round 2 TE and DE or DT. Round 3. QB, Double down on WR then a safety. Rest of rounds 6 and 7 LBs, maybe a CB or RB

Gordon isn't coming back this year. Really hope he does but highly doubt it. D.Thomas and Brady coaching him should be great help for him

(6) QB Daniel Jones
(17) DT Dexter Lawrence
(30) CB Deandre Baker

I'm good with what they did. If they really touted Jones they did the right thing by getting him at #6. Who knows...? Another team may have snagged him before #17. I would've rather seen them take an edge like Josh Allen at that spot, but that's okay.

Dexter Lawrence is large. Hopefully, he plugs the middle for years to come.

Deandre Baker will be a 10-time all pro. I'm kidding. I have no idea how good he'll be. NOBODY DOES. Time will tell on all these guys.

I like the Pats pick but am weary on the Lions. I am not as sour as most on it. I just think it is risky and we need a disciplined WILL in the worst way and the best one in the draft was still there. There will be more options to fill that but most all had are hearts set on Bush at 8.

On the bright side lots of teams picked guys I didnt think belonged in round 1 leaving a fair amount of round 1 talent in round 2.

I haven't been this thrilled about a Steelers 1st round pick since Jarvis Jones.

I'm content. When we the week started, Seattle had 4 picks total and a DE who was not signing his tag and feared to be a holdout. After round 1, we have a DE prospect from a top program, $17M more in cap space for 2019, and twice as many picks remaining as we started out with. Unless you have the dim view that the only thing that matters is Frank Clark > LJ Collier, I don't see how you can't be happy as a Hawks fan about what they have done up to this point.

I"m cool with our moves, we needed more picks and Pete and John made sure that happened... started off with 4 this year, now we have 9 total..

Not really, but I understand why they drafted Murray. When you hire Kliff, who brings with him a supposed high octane offense, I guess you gotta go "all in" by getting him the parts that fit his system the best.

Confused is a better term. After Pittsburgh moved up and too my preferred 1st choice in Bush, Gary is a gamble that seems desparate at best. Maybe a position change is in the future? IDK

Trading up for a safety when there were 3 left on the board? Maybe they got the best one, but giving up a couple of 4ths. I just don't see the value.

Hopefully things will work out have to see what happens, here are a few takes I have seen around online:

Ranked the 4th best player in all the draft here:

2019 NFL Draft prospects: Big board of top 100 players

2019 NFL Draft Day 1 winners, losers: Redskins up, Giants down

Mike Pettine, Packers defensive coordinator: GM Brian Gutekunst just can't stop building up the Green Bay defense. He piled up picks for Pettine during last year's draft, spent huge money to sign three starters in free agency, including two high-priced pass rushers (Za'Darius Smith and Preston Smith), and then drafted another edge defender in Michigan's Rashan Gary with the No. 12 overall pick. (Just don't tell NFL.com's Gil Brandt it was a smart pick.)

With a second first-round pick in his pocket, surely Gutekunst would get some help for Aaron Rodgers, right? Nope -- he traded up with the Seahawks to snag Maryland safety Darnell Savage 21st overall. That's the fifth defensive back taken in the first two rounds over the last three years by the Packers. Perhaps the best weapon Rodgers can have will be only needing to score 20 points to win games.
