Mike & Mike this morning brought up an interesting point about the Eagles:

If the Cowboys beat Redskins, the Eagles game is pointless for them. They will still have to beat DAL in week 17, or they are out of the playoffs.

Does Chip Kelly pull his starters when he sees the DAL-WAS score (provided that DAL wins, of course)?

that could crush some fantasy Super Bowls. I have McCoy in a standard league, with a couple of good RB2 options on my bench.

Personally, I don't think Chip will sit his guys. Why throw them off their game when you rely on a fast-paced offense to move the ball?

Anyone else having reservations about their Eagles players?

Not 1 Eagles player is in my SuperBowl... Interesting, ain't it.

I wouldn't be worried in the least. The best teams in my league aren't necessarily in the final and the Eagles are due for a huge week based on what I've seen this year.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

Well, I'm sure my answer will either be ambiguous or bias. But I am starting Foles in one of my Championship games.

Just a couple of notes: Lance Briggs should be back which should help the run-D. And the Eagles are dead last in time-of-possession. (Bears are 7th.) So if Trestman is as smart as some say, one way to keep the other team from scoring (especially when you have a bad D), is to keep your offense on the field longer.

Chip Kelly has never been one to lay off the gas. I highly doubt his guys get benched regardless of the situation.

I dont think Kelly will sit them at all. One thing though- Dallas was in a very similar situation 2 yrs ago . The Giants beat the Jets in the early game, so their week 16 game didnt matter. They chose to play. The third play of the game Romo hit his hand against an Eagles helmet after throwing the ball . It swelled up bad and he was iffy for the final game vs the Giants. He played and really wasnt affected- but it could have been worse

Tell me about it - that cost me a championship game! It will be quite a long time before I forget that one.

I don't own any of them so yes, I'm worried about them. As far as them sitting - I can't be that lucky - so start them with confidence.

Not completely meaningless if Dallas wins - a win by Philly would mean a tie against Dallas gives them the division. Also potential home field is in play if the Bears advance to the conference championship.

But the real reason is you don't roll over against a playoff-caliber team.

I'd go this far: if the game is out of reach in the fourth quarter, they may not keep a worn-out or dinged player in there, but that's about it.
