Sad that in a few days time, thats the best response you had.:suds:

You are definitely right — the Steelers are better off without Bell and Brown.

What’s sad is — Pitt has an entire offseason to get ready for week 1 and they put up 3 points, while Bell got his big contract and Brown gets to play for the best team in the league. Well played Pitt — you showed them.

Lev & AB were probably texting each other laughing their asses off at the shitshow they left behind.

Is anyone outside of AB happier than Keelan Doss about how this AB situation went down?

https://nypost.com/2019/09/09/theres-a-20-million-wrinkle-in-antonio-browns-patriots-contract/

As if the Patriots’ signing of Antonio Brown didn’t seem sneaky enough, there’s another wrinkle to his contract.

The team added an option year onto Brown’s one-year contract which would pay Brown $20 million guaranteed for the 2020 NFL season if the Patriots exercise the option, according to ESPN, which said the option was added for “cap proration purposes.”

After the Raiders cut Brown on Saturday, the Patriots pounced and gave Brown a one-year deal worth up to $15 million, including a $9 million signing bonus.

So after losing roughly $30 million in guaranteed money once the Raiders fined him for conduct detrimental to the team, Brown could end up with $35 million over the next two seasons if the Patriots want to bring him back.

they cut a lot of cap space in allen (punter), gronk, and others in the cuts.

New England Patriots 2019 Salary Cap

this had been worked out for some time, ever since he got sent to oakland. this has been in the works since march.

i still think gronk comes back too.

steelers could have just sent him here and gotten the late round 1st pick. i see why they didnt, but they look like fools now.

Pats can’t lose with this pickup, if Brown acts up he’ll get the boot, Pats are still good even without him, but if he STFU and plays good football, they’re even better for it...

They looked like fools when they allowed two of the best offensive players at their respective positions walk and got a 3rd and 5th to show for it.

The fact he went to the Pats, who offered a 1st for him and Pitt turned it down is just icing on the cake.

well, not really, the raiders look like fools
both do

steelers could have gotten a first for a 31 year old receiver, but didnt want to send him to the pats. they instead got what a 3rd and a 5th or whatever to send him to oakland?

he still ended up here.

raiders lost picks, but no money.

both look like idiots.

a 1st from the pats is more like a 2nd.
I would have taken the 3rd & 5th to keep him away from the team that stops them in playoffs all the time. I dont blame the steelers for that.
