Well,if they're going to hand the team over to the young guys,then make Giroux captain.
Put the A's on Pronger and Briere.

The logical choice IMO is Briere for captain with Pronger and Giroux as alternates.

If we could keep Mez for a long time I think he should be, but I see Pronger getting it

As much as I hate to say this Pronger will get the C, I have no doubt. I think it should be Giroux, Timonen and Briere get the A's and they should ship Pronger out.

Let the older guys run the team for the next two seasons. Kimmo, DB, and Pronger. Giroux and the younger guys will have their time. RIchie was a young captain with a pedigree of winning as a captain at every level. And he failed miserably. Let Giroux develop as a player and concentrate on that...

i think they should give briere or pronger the C with timonen as the runner up. danny brieres speech between periods of game 6 against buffalo pretty much proved how hes a leader who steps up. pronger is probably going to get it though. wouldn't mind them seeing something similar to what they did with richie, giving G the alternate role early on.

if there is any man i want lifting that cup to end our cup drought, chris pronger is certainly a great choice. can you imagine what a bad ass picture that would be..pronger lifting the cup wearing the "C" in the orange and black... ahhh...
