no im just asking,

its a real real real longshot on your part though, and IF they were all weighed pre-game your arguments become moot.

You do understand that weighing balls that are made of a natural product like cow-hide will yield variations in weight? The variation of a football that is 1 psi less than another is extremely small because the air in either weighs next to nothing. The natural variation between ball dry-weight is more than the variation caused by differing pressures.

The entire story is crumbling, and starting to look like there is a possibility that it simply involved some butt hurt coaches along with a league official that has spent most his career butt hurt over the Pats.

Why are you guys talking about weight?

I haven't checked this myself, but based on an article I read, if the whole difference in pressure really WERE due to air being removed, that would reduce the weight of the football by under 1 gram. And even that might not be detectable by weighing if there were are a tiny change in volume as a result.

Steelerspride and others have talked about the officials weighing the balls... (see above)

Lots of misinformation floating around in the air.....

FOX Sports: NFL zeroes in on locker-room attendant - NFL.com

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported Monday that the league's investigation has zeroed in on a Patriots' locker-room attendant who was seen on surveillance video taking the footballs from the official's locker room into another room at Gillette Stadium before bringing them out to the field prior to kickoff against the Colts.

The plot does indeed thicken.

The report says he was in the restroom for 90 seconds. I'm not sure if that's enough time to take air out of 11 balls

I thought that too. But after I thought about it I don't think it's that hard.

You just put a fill pin in for just a second or 2 and then on to the next ball.
He only did half the balls which makes sense. He just did all the balls that are on top.

since 10 of the 11 were only 1 psi below the required minimum that wouldn't take long at all.

I believe "Weighing" the balls was just a media error by our incompetent reporter friends. No way should anyone believe the NFL actually has the ability to weigh the air in a football. Somebody said 10 1/2 pounds and an idiot reporter rushed off half cocked to claim his 15 minutes of fame. Hell a drop of sweat weighs more than the air in the ball.

And that's how we know somebody in the NE organization did something to the balls.

Yes. Because we know for a fact that in this country, no employee has ever committed a criminal act against an employer for personal gain.

The balls have a brand the refs put on them so they can't be switched out. And I must say again, I hope the dirty bastard washed his hands. But then again it's Boston so.....
