But so far, I'm having a hard time seeing how the 2022 Yankees are any better than the 2021 Yankees.
Good thing they have a master of strategy running the show.
Blue Jays are absolutely loaded and the clear favorite in the division now.
This was true when I wrote it. <shrugs>
You were pretty much the only one here who really had the Yankees as the AL east favoritesdidn't age well my friend
damn Hal knew something
didn't age well my friend
No it didn't.
But Boone is still a moron. I present his pitching and pinch running decisions yesterday as exhibit A.
maybe they win in spite of him(cora says hi)He can't be perfect in all 162 games
As far as the pitching I'm not sure who was available. King had pitched 2 innings the day before and Wandy had been solid going into yesterday. Castro has been decent as well.No it didn't.

let the blasphemy begin
Red Sox recalled INF Jeter Downs from Triple-A Worcester.
Downs, who was acquired from the Dodgers in the Mookie Betts trade, was widely-regarded as a top-100 prospect in the game entering last year, but his stock has fallen considerably ever since. He's hit just .187/.281/.355 with 25 homers and 29 steals in 627 plate appearances in 152 games over the last two seasons at the Triple-A level. The 23-year-old offers plenty of defensive versatility and should serve as a utility infielder for the Red Sox moving forward.

Probably going to see more of that with the 13 pitcher limit.Not a fan of his tendency to let tired starters start an inning, put guys on base, then he goes to the pen. Better to give the reliever a clean inning, especially if you know your starter is gassed.
Hard to complain when it's only your 17th loss and it's June 19th, but that was a bad loss.
