Still waiting to see who will be the Yankees 3B.

Have to think the final spot in the rotation is up for grabs heading to Spring Training

Already got my first tickets of the year. 65 days left.

Red Sox Truck Day is the day after the Super Bowl this year. Also the annual day where Mrs. SoxFan rejoices as my beard comes off.

Nah I got Friday night tickets for Red Sox vs Braves at the end of May. Taken the little guys and meeting up with old friends visiting from Texas. Can't wait.

Nothing has ever been so clear as the Yankees going all in on Manny Machado next winter

They have shown little to no interest in a 3rd basemen this offseason, I think Todd Frazier could have been brought back on a discounted price, but they simply wont commit to that position

I still a long shot Moustakas on a one year deal would be ideal for both the Yanks and Moose, assuming he doesnt find a team meeting his long term price

I wouldn't mind Frazier back on a 1 yr deal

Yeah spoke with the wife yesterday and apparently there are 19 of us going to be there, not including the 1-year old who will be on my lap.

Going to be a fun season, Jays have made some depth moves as of late, do those make them a wild card contender again? I don't know but I do think they're better this year than they were in 2017.

Depth Chart projections have them at 85-77 (4 games back of the Angels for the 2nd WC) and I think ZiPS has them around 87 wins (or at least I see 39 WAR). The Jays project to score a lot more runs, but the question is how much and how will the Jays pitching depth hold up? I think they'll be in contention for a WC spot, but I don't see them seriously challenging for the division.

Eh, I never got why they traded for Frazier in the first place. Headley was fine at 3rd, and a better hitter.

Haven't been this excited for an impending NYY season like this in a long, long time. Only thing that gives me pause is the lack of rotation depth.

Headley's a fine player, but I disagree about him being a better hitter. Headley hasn't had an OPS+ north of 100 since 2014 (102). Frazier's lowest OPS+ over the last four years was 105 (it was 107 in his 66 games in NY). Headley's a little more consistent at getting on base, but I don't think that makes up for the large gap between then in the power department. Besides, Frazier's no slouch with the glove. Just going by the last four years, Frazier has him beat in WAR (BB-Ref) 16.1 to 9.1.
