He got thrown out for arguing with the umpire. Turns out Florial is having an excellent May after a slow start. Hitting over 300 in May and over an 800 OPS. He does that for a couple of more weeks maybe we'll see him with the big club.

If he was our OF on the bench it wouldn't have bothered me. The last couple of years he just played WAY too much because everyone else kept getting hurt

Are you guys really on the hook for 3 more years with him?

The wrap on him here was he was extremely nonchalant and tried to coast by on talent alone. He'd literally show up to the ballpark and not know who the opposing pitcher was that night.

He obviously played well enough and took it seriously for a time that the Yankees gave him that long-term extension, but he seems to be back to his old habits.

I guess if he's the worst part of your team, that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
