Josh Donaldson has been suspended one game and given a fine by Major League Baseball for inappropriate comments made toward the White Sox' Tim Anderson during Saturday's game.​

MLB wrote in a statement that Donaldson's comment "was disrespectful and in poor judgment, particularly when viewed in the context of their prior interactions.” Donaldson has appealed the suspension, although he is already sidelined after being placed on the COVID-19 injured list earlier Monday.
