Could anyone see the Twins offering Joey Gallo a 3 -4 year contract to play a little bit of 1B, a little bit of outfield and a little bit of DH?

If we're going to keep DHing Buxton, and if Kirilloff comes back and starts living up to his potential, Gallo is going to start to find a hard time getting consistent playing time. He has talent, but he strikes out at a maddening rate.

Tough loss today. Bailey Ober deserved better than that. I can't get mad at Duran, because he has been great, but he clearly wasn't right today.

He might have been hung up with his immigration stuff. It's hard to concentrate when things like that are over your head.

Do the Twins need to sign Sonny Gray to an extension?

Missed this one, but yes. I don't think that he will want to, he's pitching to cash in. The Pohlads don't like to break the bank for pitching, just because of the risk of arm injuries and sunk cost potential.

Sonny also has made no bones about it that he's sick of being babied by Rocco and he wants to pitch deeper into games.

Guy is a fucking loser.

He got that big old blast today in a game where the Twins were already up 7-1.

But I know that even you can be positive about Alex Kirilloff. This kid is the finest hitter in the organization and it isn't close. And if he can finally stay healthy, we are looking at an absolute stud player that can be built around.

I am the biggest AK fan there is

It was an insult that he wasnt brought up immediately when his rehab was done.

Its all about health with him. Hes way too good for AAA and him sitting down there was a literal waste of time.

If the wrist holds up hes undoubtably our best all around hitter. Has a Mauer type approach with more raw power.

Couple things I dont like

-Lopez pitching first innings. Its been a career issue for him. We should legit consider an opener in his starts.

-3 years of Vasquez. He might be literally the worst player in baseball. Defense is supposed to be his calling card and the fat piece of shit makes big errors late in games multiple times. Has multple catcher interference and hes the worst hitter in the league consider he has no power, doesnt walk, hit for average and cannot run. He has legit 0 useful skills at the plate. We would be better off letting our pitchers bat and bunt.

October type win last night. Gutsy pitching.

Stealing bases. Moving runners. Sac bunts. Late homer to put it away. Hell of a game.

Any time you can get a scoreless inning out of Moron it's a wonderful day.

Not often you see a Twins pitching staff leading the league in K's. Joe Ryan's looking more and more like a star.

Its crazy how much swing and miss his fastball with average velo and average movement gets. He just knows how to locate.

Biggest worry is always that when you square it up it flies. His WHIP is always fantastic. Last year, this year so far. His cup of coffee in 2021.

But lately the homers have went bye bye. If he can hold that up he could be really really good. Hes also used to working fast so the pitch clock doesnt bug him at all.
