This is a pretty clsssic Milwaukee team. Really solid for a 162 game season.

But simply don’t have the top end talent to win any sort of lengthy series

He’s pitched more innings this year than he ever has before, including college. That was the big concern about trading for him now, was that he’s going to be very limited down the stretch. He actually has less than 18 innings left before he pitches more this season than his entire college career.

López has a 1.14 WHIP and that’s good for 3rd among Twins starters.

The top 3 are dialed.

But SWR is finally hitting a rough patch. Which makes the back to spots still a toss up. Hopefully Festa continues to show improvement tonight. The talent is there.

Detroit has maybe four guys who would be a help winning the International League. He and his girls name aren’t one of them.

It’d be hard to pull that off on purpose.

Yeah, there's some randomness to it. But it also underlines just how abysmal they are. Their position players have combined for -7.2 WAR, and not a single one has even 1+ WAR (Robert's at 0.8 and he's only played 58 games, but even he's having a down year). The pitching has 9.1 WAR, which is actually a respectable figure (their defense has done them no favors this year). Of course, that comes with the caveat of 9.0 of those WAR coming from Crochet/Fedde... and the latter was traded. That was a great pickup for the White Sox, he was a scrub prior to this year and reinvented himself overseas. Kinda reminds me of Colby Lewis coming back to MLB and turning into a good pitcher.
