They’ve traded a backup catcher so far.

Dirk Diggler > Carson Kelly.

It’s not like they didn’t already have a AAAA lineup.

They went with their 4th bullpen game/29 year old rookie starter in like a week haha

Drawing Skubal is basically the only chance to face a starter with a pulse right now until Olson(is he?) comes back.

And I'm talking going forward anyways. Flaherty and Chafin are 100% gone tomorrow.

Could still be Traded if a Team wants to take contract.

There's a better chance I bang Margot Robbie in some steamy Barbie cosplay, win a billion dollar lottery and get elected president on random write in votes

than someone trades for and takes on Baez contract

Well,

on the bright side, if there was ever a game to show that we need to make trades tomorrow. This is the game.

Astros just gave up a shit ton for 2 months of Kikuchi---- this is the one of the biggest sellers markets i have ever seen.
It makes sense because you have so many teams within 3-4 games of a wild card berth. 6 teams for 3 spots in the AL plus 3 division leaders spells 9 potential buyers. In the NL it’s 7 teams for 3 spots. Add in the 3 division leaders and you have 10 potential buyers. I’m shocked with this new format you don’t see it more. Bull pen is sooooo expensive. Everybody needs it. (Except you guys haha)

Yeah I'm very glad the Twins didn't trade for that guy

no fucking shit

i think the reverberations will have teams be more aggressive in off season free agency to try and hit on a Fedde type guy that can be so valuable at the deadline.

If the Guardians were out of it- a guy like Lively would have value and he did not cost anything to sign---- a guy like Flaherty can bring a haul that will likely earn at least a couple guys that are compensatory pick/2nd round pick values- if not a late first round value.

It will be interesting to see how teams adjust.

that being said last year the trade deadline costs were not nearly this much and its the same fucking rules.

Royals made a nice move with Lorenzen- plus their earlier trade for Hunter Harvey keeps looking better and better with the prices currently being paid.
Yeah, main thing for me is Harvey healthy and good to go, but in terms of prospects needing about Cayden is legit crazy if you have any faith at all in Garcia rebounding past this year. Marsh in the BP is theoretically a decent piece. He wouldn’t be in a playoff rotation anyways and Pennington is an unserious RP prospect, imo.
