Adam Humphries reportedly turned down NEs 4yr deal because of concern about TB12s age.

Brady has said he wants to play until 45 which would be the end of the propsed 4 year deal.

So who thinks this was a good move or a bad move?

IMO if he only played one year with the GOAT it would've been a good move. NE as of today, on paper gives you the best chance at a ring. Sorry bad move.

I'd bet that money was the determining factor.

He has a valid point and should go to Arizona, Kyler Murray is only 21, so should have a lot of shelf life

Smart move

How so? What is he afraid of if Brady retired?

He signed with the Titans for god sakes. The Pat's could throw a dart at a list of QB option available to them the day Brady retires and come up with a better option than Tannehill or Mariotta.

QB talent moving forward clearly wasn't really as big of a deal as he is making it out to be.

Did I miss something?

This is all I saw: "even after New England made a late attempt to lure the receiver."

One of the most coveted prospects for the New England Patriots this offseason was wide receiver Adam Humphries, who is a young, talented slot receiver that could have been implemented in the Patriots' offensive scheme very easily. He unfortunately signed with the Tennessee Titans, who had offered him less money than New England.

During a conversation with Travis Haney of The Athletic, Humphries explained why he ultimately accepted a cheaper deal with the Titans.

Adam Humphries says Tom Brady’s age factored into him not joining Patriots

this was the article I had read before you guys posted.

:trash:To take less money and choose Tennessee, is really funny.

Or apparently more $?
Likely spoke to guys like Reggie Wayne and others who decided NEs practices and offensive scheme were just too hard?
Otherwise there is no logic. Lrss money and play with Mariota:doh:

More money? Damn! That's a FA's dream to get more money with a great shot at a ring. He must be high, drunk or both.

Yep not really sure who to believe? NE is always tight lipped about finances. Could it have been more or less guarenteed? Who knows? From the outside looking in, with the reports we've heard, kid didn't make a smart move IMO.

he does mention state taxes & some other factors as well.
At least in Tennessee he gets to be the man.
NO & Pats already have their go to guys, although on both teams plenty get the ball.
I thought it was a strange choice as well.
Tenn. recruiter needs a raise if they can pull a WR away from both the Saints & the Pats!

I was thinking along the same line. I don't think he wanted to be 2nd or 3rd fiddle in NE. Can't blame him for that. Though one will never know, he could've become Brady's new binkie?
