Maybe quality of life is more important to him. Working for the sith lord can't be much fun.

Like you all said, odd decision. QB play can't really be the reason or maybe it is because now he can be mediocre and have a built in excuse. Sounds kinda like that to me. Doesn't really care about winning or important stuff like that. Maybe he just doesn't want TB chewing his ass out on the sideline for running the wrong routes or giving up on plays. :D

Adam Humphries reportedly turned down NEs 4yr deal because of concern about TB12s age.

Brady has said he wants to play until 45 which would be the end of the propsed 4 year deal.

So who thinks this was a good move or a bad move?

IMO if he only played one year with the GOAT it would've been a good move. NE as of today, on paper gives you the best chance at a ring. Sorry bad move.
Titans WR Adam Humphries: Tom Brady's age factored into decision not to sign with Patriots

Looking a little deeper into this deal...Humphries is 26 y/o, this is his last shot at a big money contract....Haroldseattle eluded to it earlier...I think money (as in $19 mil guaranteed with only $2mil of that tied up in roster bonuses) was the primary factor...doubt NE would guarantee him $19 mil.

The biggest drawback was having Brady as quarterback and being required to "Do Your Job". Look how many veterans have signed with the Patriots, come to camp or mini camp and immediately retired.

Hard work = Super Bowl Ring....................Age is not a factor.

Question? How many 37, 39 or 41 year old quarterbacks have won 3 SB Rings in 5 consecutive years? That old fart Brady is the only one.

Maybe he just wanted to play closer to home. He is from Spartanburg, South Carolina and Nashville is a hell of a lot closer than Foxborough.

True or not I predict he will regret giving that statement.

Maybe he talked to Brady & in those conversations Brady hinted towards this being his last year & only Humphries knows this!

He hasn't turned that corner yet and is still making the throws, Just played in another Super Bowl, so that's a strange way to look at it ... Pats have utterly owned that division, he'd almost guarantee himself going to the playoffs... Bad move

humphries would have been a nice piece, but i read he already committed to TN before NE made their offer, and he stayed with his handshake deal...cuz its honorable.
