As a Pirates fan it is easier to relate than you think. You might struggle a tad as a Browns fan, my friend.
Carter was the #1 pick and did nothing.Archie Griffin - 1
TRich - 3
Carter - 2
Still waiting on some to weigh in... @dtgold88 @Pure Steel @thedddd
Or we can just go with TRich.
Where were ya, you could have tied up the votes... Already went with TRichCarter was the #1 pick and did nothing.
Not worth his draft slot, but in his 3rd and 4th year he was at 875 yards and 1106.TE - gotta be Kellen Winslow Jr, right? First name that really pops...
I struggle to go back to the 70's...just a different era of football...but that doesn't negate the facts of the matter.IMO...
It's a 3-horse race between Cobb, Winslow & Hurst.
Cobb... Drafted in '77... played in 13 games and NEVER caught a single pass before the Bengals traded him to Chicago lol. Had little to no success in CHicago before moving into the USFL in 1983.
No need to repeat what you did as agree with most. I'd go Cobb, too (though cannot say I've heard of him).IMO...
It's a 3-horse race between Cobb, Winslow & Hurst. I'm going to vote Mike Cobb.

Winslow... 10 yr career & a Pro-Bowl nod... But never lived up to the expectations.
Hurst... Dude was trash, but his stats show a meager TE. Baltimore fleeced ATL when they traded him.
Worked for Len Dawson.Sean Brewer was another winner for the Bengals. Drafted in the 3rd round, and expected to compete for the starting TE gig...he played in just 3 games for CIN before being cut. Played just 3 years and finished his career with more career tackles (1) than receptions (0).
LOL - he also came into his rookie camp and the Bengals found out he smoked at least a pack of cigarettes' a day...Winner if there ever was one.
