If you have two quarterbacks, you have none.

If you have five quarterbacks, and one of them you're paying $100 million to sit on the bench, you're the Browns.
I’m sorry but it must be said. There are a ton of fans who can come for the Browns right now because of their QB room. Steelers fans though are not in that group. The best case scenario is that a washed up anti-vaxxer and regular on the Pat McAfee show is going to eventually sign with them.

The best was the "war room" reaction when they took Sanders...it was one of those "Oh shit, we're on TV" moments and they did some polite golf clapping...

This has the makings of a truly spectacular, disastrous, marriage. I'm here for it.

Our quarterback situation is garbage. We have no Quarterback and no prospect of having one this season. We have a coach who can't get us past the first round of the playoffs. I'm a demoralized fan. I know they aren't competitive right now.

My hope is looking seasons into the future for Tomlin to retire.

On a positive note, this was not a draft to pick a quarterback (after pick 1) with a premium pick. So spending more time building the lines was the right move, and maybe next season the team will be in a better position to draft a QB with a better cast than picking up Kenny Pickett and throwing him into a broken offense.

I think far too many organizations don't heed what you said in the last paragraph. In a draft where there isn't a guy you absolutely love at QB - build everything else. Get a veteran for a year, or two, and wait until you can make a move to land a guy you want. Taking a guy you don't want, while also neglecting to use that capital to build up the team around that position is one of the many reasons why QBs fail, and organizations end up looking so lost.

Steelers should have drafted Sanders to complete the 3rd ring of the Rooney Bros. Circus.

Tyler Smith/Linderbaum who both went a few picks after Kenny would have put the Steelers in a much better position today.

Instead, they put Kenny behind a joke of an O-Line. That's how you ruin a kid (though still, he was overdrafted by a lot).

Agreed. Back in the early 90's, the Bengals selected a hot-shot College QB named David Klingler. The Bengals had just been demolished by free agency and retirements along the OL. To make matters worse, Klingler ran the run-and-shoot offense (know known as the spread, which every team pretty much runs) - and told him to come in behind a crap OL and run the west-coast offense.

Needless to say - disaster. Kid was sacked so often he was seeing ghosts in his sleep. No way to ever know just how good he might have been with an OL and an offense more suited to his abilities. I always contend if he had ended up in Houston under Moon - who ran the run-and-shoot offense as well, he may have turned out to be a fairly good QB. Alas...

I was upset on day 1 when Jax significantly improved Cleveland's situation with a stupid trade. There is no reason for a team to make a deal into the top 5 for a players that isn't a QB. But, the Jags are the Jags.... Great move by Cleveland to pick up some serious draft capital. Then they go and do weird shit with quarterback and Deion's kid and I'm back to wondering what the hell they are thinking. If they do have a down year, they would be in awesome shape to add a QB from a class that is supposed to be much better than this year's..... We'll see.

The Ravens get Starks and White which could help add significantly to their defensive weaknesses. Good gets for them - I don't think they were as good in the later rounds than they normally are, but this feels like a nitpick because they are consistently one of the best front offices in identifying talent.

For the Steelers, I have no idea..... I'm pretty sure that Harmon is going to be good. I have no clue if he'll be an all-pro type, but I think his floor is pretty high. And you have to imagine that they'll have to live without Cam Heyward some day. Is that dude 50 yet? They get a running back with some promise - Of course they went this route several years ago without much success. Bengals fans love Jack Sawyer because he's a Buckeye. I don't like the Buckeyes and feel I can be honest in saying he isn't very good. That said, he'll probably be the second coming of TJ Watt with the Steelers. For the Bengals he would have been a poor-man's Sam Hubbard. I remain confused about what the Steelers are planning with their QBs.

In the Zac Taylor era, the Bengals generally find about 2-3 eventual starters in each draft (this is probably close to the average). I figure they probably have the same here with the best bets being Knight and Fairchild. As @Cincyfan78 notes, they swung for the fences with Stewart. If they're right about him, this will be remembered as a good draft for the Bengals. If they are wrong, this draft will raise the floor at some positions but offer nothing in terms of building the roster they need around Burrow.

All I came here to say is that I agree with this Sawyer comment. I think the other kid is the better DE from OSU. I can’t recall the name right now. I think it’s Polynesian.

Tuimoloau, but he went in the 2nd round and Sawyer went in the 4th.

Sawyer has a high motor, but he's probably a career special-teams player unless there are a slew of injuries. Steelers didn't really need an edge to contribute with Watt, Highsmith and Herbig on the roster.
