More that Mahomes fellow as with the Steeler QBs last half decade or so doubt KC does much.Do I trust them? What choice do we have?? Stay mired in football purgatory or stick their necks out and take a chance on starting a new era for the franchise? I dont see Art Rooney selling the team any time soon, so I'm gonna have to opt for him and his front office finding a new coach
Lets not forget that for a long time, the Kansas City Chiefs sucked balls, they were a team with pockets of good fortune sprinkled here and there, but which never amounted to squat, a rudderless ship in the sea of NFL irrelevance. Eventually, they got it right, and the same owner (Hunt) who was there when they looked listless, is the same owner there now
Zero. May catch a break final week. No way we win in Bmore and seems most teams we'd like to win face teams who don't need to win.Yep
No point winning
I agree that it's harder to get a good coach than it looks.... And I honestly don't believe they are looking to make a change. But if they did, you'd have to figure that the job would be appealing for most of the big names in the business. Someone like Vrabel could spend more than a decade there. But, I guess the Steeler way has been to identify guys that aren't as well known, which as you mention is harder than it might seem.More that Mahomes fellow as with the Steeler QBs last half decade or so doubt KC does much.
I wonder if some Steeler fans just assume bringing in exceptional coaches is easy since for them so far it has been? as you kind of alluded even teams who look successful struggle for long periods finding coaches at times. That's more the norm, I think.
Yeah I agree they likely are not looking. while upsetting to some or even many of their fans they should be happy the FO does not care what the fans think.I agree that it's harder to get a good coach than it looks.... Probably, but their defenses have been plenty good other seasons without LeBeau and Whisenhunt. Arians? I like him but curious how he does without Prime Ben there. Isn't to say would not succeed as guessing he's done well with many other QBs?I think most are understating how important LeBeau, Whisenhunt and yes, even Arians was in the team's success. Hard to recapture that level of genius in their coaches.
With the trajectory of these teams why is it I see a Ravens/Steelers wild card week game.
You'll still beat the Steelers in the last game of the season to put them at 10-7.
I wouldn't bet on it...lol...
@Cincyfan78 there you goI still would.
This is going to happen next week.
Well, it's hard to understand why you Steeler fans aren't more excited. Maybe y'all are just spoiled.
In all honesty, it's hard to understand how this is the same Steeler team that we saw the first time in Cincinnati.
As for the Bengals. I've watched a lot of seasons of hopeless teams and losing records. I never thought I'd see the day that I would be depressed about a winning season for the Bengals. But I have to say - This was a depressing year. Even when we win, it hurts.
This is definitely true. It's funny though because nobody mentions the fact that the Ravens lost at home to the Raiders in week 2. So, to me, it's not just that one stupid game - They had chances all season and couldn't get it done. Luck changed a bit late in the year (Dallas and Pittsburgh games), but the Bengals are too careless and not very good at situational football. I agree with you on KC today - I don't anticipate them being very interested in winning. If you all just beat NE all of this is moot. I look for KC to all but lay down for Denver, I genuinely think If they could forfeit they would.
And when the Steelers lose, it didn't. I didn't expect much from the Steelers this season after the off-season moves, so this result is actually better than expected. I enjoyed the comic relief. It was funny seeing them win games they shouldn't, and it was funny watching them lose.Even when we win, it hurts.
I'm a little excited. The Steelers have given the Ravens fits - Even when they shouldn't. I can't say I would be disappointed to watch Baltimore and their 8 pro-bowlers make a first round exit. Obviously not going to happen with the way the Steelers played the last couple of weeks, but maybe something changes? Here's to hoping. This has to be the most unexcited I’ve ever been for a Steelers playoff game
