I wasn't a fan of the Stewart pick. That being said - this is 100% on the Bengals. They are trying to add language to claw back money under certain situations that are not a part of other contracts in the draft, nor were part of past Bengal draft picks' contracts. We might be revisiting the D-line after this season.

Source: Bengals rookie leaves camp amid dispute
Bengals rookie defensive end Shemar Stewart left Cincinnati's mandatory minicamp amid a contract dispute, a source told ESPN.www.espn.com
Yep and what is worse, if/when he signs and plays. If he isn't out of this world great the organization will someone put this on him.I wasn't a fan of the Stewart pick. Seriously...this organization would rather win ever single contract negotiation than win 14 games, and a SB...contract negotiations are their Super Bowl....
The only reasons they've been any good from 1988 - Current is because they suck so bad in some years, they fall ass backwards into some good players - win games, and then refuse to pay them, and the cycle continues.
Pretty sure Elam is about to win. 4 votes alreadyCould go back and give them the win for Boller or Travis Taylor if want a Raven on there?
Super-low effort version.Maybe @Superbelt can do some of his fancy photoshopping for us... Ed Reed's face on Matt Elams body

Not a bad idea. The Bengals will never pay you what you’re really worth.
Supposedly, now we are hearing that Bengals are offering slot money and the same guarantees that are inline with draft slot. Where there is hurt feelings is over wording of contract that would allow the Bengals to opt out if certain things happen, like with character issues, off field issues, etc. Supposedly, this is the first time the Bengals have written a contract with this wording, but other teams around the league have the same exact wording for their players they have been doing for years, including the two teams that drafted #15 and #16 just ahead of Stewart. Not a bad idea. The Bengals will never pay you what you’re really worth.
really cool following this.Locking this in… may create a separate post
