I know it's tough...but Watson sucks. He's not the guy that he was in Houston. Move on.

I mean - the Houston Oilers have won an division title more recently than the Browns...maybe regroup and try again?
Those goal posts can be heavy so when you move them get help. Realize watson far from the guy he was in Houston and has been mostly incredibly bad here. Try and stay focused on my comment to which you replied, which mentioned it was only 2 seasons ago where we won 11 games in the toughest division in the sport and nearly all of the top players are still here.

If you care to discuss or even try and refute this (not sure why as it's factual) feel free......but do better than saying a team who lost top 3 QBs, top 3 OTs AND an elite RB was lucky.

Just keep kicking the can down the road... It's the next GM's problem now lol

They only have to pay Watson for one more year in 2026 but I am sure they are hoping they gain some benefits from that insurance policy Watson took out.

I think if they got solid QB play it could be an interesting season but I also think they could go into a quick rebuild if they did draft the right QB. I just don’t know with Berry. He needs to kill the draft, I believe.

I am not on the Sanders or Ward train either

Only from things I've heard I would really like to get Ward, I think. If they like sanders then have at it...but better get it right.

While I still like Berry - Watson deal a killer, of course but many wanted to to that - I do think a better chance he'd be gone after next season than Stefanski. Though, sure, could be both. Could also bounce back as they often to do when not much expected.

Thinking more about Garrett, that guy has just been all over the place. Not only has he said he would like to see the entire defense come back, but he has also said he wants to be here as long as Berry (and I believe Stefanski) still here. Could see this playing out many different ways.

Yeah who knows with Garrett. He wont rework a contract but who really knows. He has one more year after this year so if they trade him, you better trade him now or next offseason. Get peak value for him.

Anything less than two 1st’s or a 1st, young player with high upside and more picks would not be ideal

I still think good chance he signs an extension. If done after FA and draft can just he say he likes the direction he has seen this offseason.

could definitely see his conversation with Lebron causing his about face when it comes to the FO. After all, Lebron was the guy who complained about Gilbert when Griff did not return. Never mind Lebron was why Griff wanted out and Altman is better.

Wait......did you really say a team "got lucky as hell" when they lost their top 3 QBs, top 3 OTs and their elite RB and that was just on offense?

Sorry had to stop reading there. Maybe regroup and try again?
I mean... They did get to play the defunct Steelers that were backing into the playoffs.

Sorry... just poking at my own misery.

Browns almost got the better of the Chiefs after Mahomes got hurt. I think that is where a lot of the hype train came from. Not the W over the Steelers, which should have been expected

Haha.....We were talking about the 2023 season, though. I know. Hard to believe the Browns had two 11 win seasons in 4 years. We got the Steeler backups in 2020 (and almost lost).

End of reg. season W over Steelers expected.....but not the playoff win there with many of our regs out with Covid.

To be fair, two of the guys that fueled that late season win streak that put them in the playoffs were Joe Flacco and Amari Cooper. Neither are around anymore. To my eye the offensive line was way better (maybe the scheme was better for them) and their D was much more dominant that year as well.

Good chance? Not sure I would go that far but I do thing there is a chance. I don't think the Browns have an intention of trading him but that doesn't mean they won't if push comes to shove.

Still pissed about that missed call in the endzone where Higgins was blindsided on helmet to helmet contact. That was a 14 pt swing. I think they had every chance of winning that game. The hype did come from that game. I liked Baker, he was a very good QB and had a ton of fight.

Hendrickson wants out now. I'm don't know the circumstances, maybe extension. I get Cincy not wanting to pay him even after 2 great seasons. He will be 31 in December. Might have a couple seasons left in him but maybe not what he thinks he deserves. Plus they got Burrow, Chase and other contracts that will load up in future years.

Now those are worthy comments to discuss. Flacco and Cooper helped, for sure.....but when healthy I'd say Winston pretty much was Joe Flacco. Plenty of yards, able to score some but too many mistakes. Sure, he's gone, too. But thinking should be able to find a QB who can play as well as a guy whose career was pretty much over and a guy who has become a rest of career backup. as to Cooper? I'd say Jedy can be close to his level. at least with decent QB play.

No doubt D was a lot better in 2023....but we do have most of the same top players. as long as JOK can return (though that seems iffy).

That's fair.....my opinion is he ends up staying but maybe more like 50-50 seems reasonable to say.

Only way push comes to shove, I think, is if he misses games.....and as much as he cares about his stats (and like the $1.5 mil per game) I don't see him missing games.

But maybe.

Totally agree...well, think the hype came more from entire season and if one game was more the win over Steelers.

Yes, that call was beyond awful.

From what I gather he's disgruntled over the lack of communication & some slighted comments from some of their personnel dept to the media. But he's got 1 year left under contract IIRC... So he's just pushing for an extension since he's clearly outperforming what he's being paid.

Also seems like they have a younger & cheaper guy waiting in the wings with Simmons.

Either way its understandable he wants out now. Clearly the Bengals aren't showing him they value him if they aren't communicating.

Hell the last decade for the Steelers is blurred together as one pathetic display of mediocrity.

But who am I to say, we are supposed to be spoiled.

First Garrett and now Hendrickson. The Steelers better take note as this will be Watt very soon.

Yea it was the first time in ages that everyone actually thought the Browns turned the corner. They had a bulldozing offense that didn't put a lot on Baker's shoulders.
