Fantastic game to watch
The schedule breaks - but...that defense is just bad, and Lou cannot adjust to the very guys he brought in. There are guys who have been here 4-5 years and they look as out of position as new guys - which tells me that the scheme is broken - Pratt and Wilson didn't just suddenly forget how to play defense - they've been a really good duo at LB.I like the Bengals chances of finishing 5-2 (maybe even 6-1).

The biggest issue is that Lou loves to rush 4 and drop 7, which worked back in the day to create more havoc because there were 2-3 guys that could rush the QB....now they have 1, but there hasn't been any adjustment to that, nor did they look to upgrade this issue at the trade-deadline.
It is what it is - unfortunately - years like this do happen - but in the long run, if this gets Lou out and the defense takes big steps forward - as long as they have Burrow/Chase - the offense will always have a chance...even if Taylor is still the one calling the plays...lol
Too late for that in-season - he's with GB unless you are going to hire him full time on the spot right now...which I don't see happening.Give Robert Saleh a call?
As pissed as I am about our defense right now. If you still have hopes of making it in the the wildcard of the playoffs, even as bleak as it is, you don't change coordinators mid season. It will just make the confusion worse. You flow with Lou until it is officially tear down time.Too late for that in-season - he's with GB unless you are going to hire him full time on the spot right now...which I don't see happening.
But, in the off-season? Absolutely.
Right - as I said when he was fired - I would have called him that day and done the same thing GB did. Bring him in as an adviser. Now, he's close with the GB coach, so maybe he ultimately doesn't end up here....that's fine - but I would have 1000% made that call.As pissed as I am about our defense right now. In terms of just watching football - it was. A rare thriller on TNF...Great game last night.
All AFC North games are that way for some reason .In terms of just watching football - it was. A rare thriller on TNF...
Maybe Belichek in the offseason might want to be our DC or HC. Either way, he can fix the defense and questionable time management and hire a good offensive coordinator for Burrow and Chase.Right - as I said when he was fired - I would have called him that day and done the same thing GB did. Worst that can happen is he says 'no' - and even if Lou finds out - who cares. Let that light a fire under his ass to get better - his scheming and approach have been absolutely trash.
Your opinion might be biased by the fact that the Bengals have looked their best in games against the Ravens this year. If they played the remainder of their games like they played last night I would agree.... But the consistency is just not there.I like the Bengals chances of finishing 5-2 (maybe even 6-1).
This game needs to be flexed.. No way they keep it as a morning gameRatbird week. Seeing Lamar again is like running into that high school hole you used to bang and toss aside. But this time with STD infections.
