Chubb’s deal still surprises me.Actually I felt the exact opposite. Baker fits the system and having two great guards is what they need going forward. Baker isn't going anywhere, if he did it would surprise the shit out of me.
It's not a coincidence they signed their two OG's right after OBJ leaves.
No it won't bc this is what Berry planned from the start. He wanted to build the OL. He got two RB's on team-friendly deals. OBJ gone, Landry will probably be gone next year OR they will restructure his contract. The cap is going to take a serious jump and the Browns will have plenty of money to sign Baker and Ward.
"Berry and the Browns still have over $20 million in cap space available for 2021, the fourth-most in the league. But that ranking drops to 25th for 2022, and the Browns have several key players — Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, Denzel Ward — who will be looking for big contract extensions.
The record-setting bump of over $25 million added to the 2022 cap for all teams gives the Browns a lot more room to operate. Cleveland can also rollover any of the excess cap figure it holds in 2021 to create even more space."

Ward is the big one. I doubt they get even a minor discount on his deal. DB’s get paidChubb’s deal still surprises me.
We shall see. I’m curious if Ward will be able to make his deal easier to digest. Missing 4-5 games a season makes it a tougher call than it should be. He’s a top 5 CB when healthy
At this point I think I’d rather see the Bengals get in… but even they just got flubbed by the BrownsHow does this division have three winning teams?
That is a very good question. How does this division have three winning teams?

Great question, and all these teams are mind-numbing.How does this division have three winning teams?
Honestly, with exception to the Browns, these teams are right on par with where we thought they'd be before the season started. Ravens suffering a ton of injuries and still being this competitive is surprising as well. But you had to know they weren't going to keep pace. I really liked the Bengals this year prior to the season starting, and their first couple games confirmed that their defense was indeed for real.Great question, and all these teams are mind-numbing.
Ravens - Crush the Chargers, lose to the Dolphins
Bengals - Crush the Ravens/Steelers, lose to the Jets and get destroyed by the Browns.
Browns - Crush the Bengals, and essentially lose to all other good teams.
Steelers - Beat the Bills (NOTE: they don't crush teams), and tie the freaking Lions.
Baker for Mason....lets do it.I'll be very disappointed if my team gives Mayfield a big contract in the off season. I don't think he's worth it.
Unless he rallies and turns his season around I would have to agree. Too many inconsistencies & falling short for someone that was drafted #1 overall.I'll be very disappointed if my team gives Mayfield a big contract in the off season. I don't think he's worth it.
Given the current state of things, sure lol.Dude. Ill take him in pgh in a heart beat.
