You might remember the Colts vs Pats AFC Championship game from 2003 and the cries that came after it leading to rules about illegal contact and pass interference penalties finally being enforced.

You said rules were changed in 2004. I illustrated that they factually did not change. As I just mentioned above, you could maybe say refs started doing their jobs better. You've still yet to show any proof whatsoever that specifically Brees, more than any other QB, looks good only because of this.

Guess you skipped right over my post above... Did you also skip over Ricky Roma's posts? Kinda backing up what I said no? As far as Brees as a starter in 2002 & 2003 had 28 TD's and 31 INT's and bam in 2004 he had 27 TD's and 7 INT's...

Also, Peyton Manning had one season with 30 or more TD passes in his first 6 seasons in the league in 2004 he had 49

So you also think Brees is only good because of this? I think we saw pretty clearly in the playoffs that the refs don't have much of a bias in favor of Brees when calling PI.

I never said that. What I said is that he, and pretty much every passer in general, greatly benefitted from how the refs enforced the rules in 2004. It's simply fact. It's not even debatable.

Funny thing is I didn't say that either, I believe what I said was he benefited by the change in 2004 more than any other QB, Manning was already good, Brady was already good, Brees in 2003 threw 11 TD's and 15 INT's then in 2004 he throws 27 TD's and 7 INT's, still had Schottenheimer as coach and Cameron as OC as he did the previous couple seasons...

Brady was good prior to '04 but not great. And neither Brees or Brady had a single 4,000 yard passing season until after the '04 season.

Also like I mentioned yesterday but you had no response there's no question Brady had better talent in NE compared to what Brees had in SD.

I'll let Rodgers give me head, get my helmet polished from him, just don't want whining or pretend limping when I shoot a load on his double discount wrestling belt

Great point, I've never in my life seen a QB get better in their career with more experience. Also, 2004 when was Antonio Gates became a premier pass-catcher - his targets shot way up that year, and he was one of the best red zone weapons in the entire league. Brees barely threw for over 3100 yards that year. Did you know he also took a step back in 2005? What's the explanation there if the refs were simply making sure he succeeded?

Your argument is powerfully weak regarding Brees. Every single QB in the NFL plays under the same rules. Only Brees a select few others established themselves as elite.

Of course the NFL started calling things differently. Never argued that point. They didn't enact any new rules though. My entire point has been against nos saying that Brees has somehow benefited so much more than every other QB when there's literally not a bit of evidence to support it.

Rodgers has skill and talent, but does he restructure and reduce his own salary to get better players around him?

IMO, there is little to chose from between Favre and Rodgers. 2a and 2b. I don't like his girlfriend(maybe that's sour grapes)

So no.1 in your book would be Starr......?.....I tend to think Favre and Dodgets would/should be in higher regard than Bart.

And Danica.... ..She's no different than 1000s of other brunettes.........

If you don't have Rodgers as the greatest Packer qb of all time then you are just an idiot with no knowledge of football.

5 Championships in 7 years.

Exactly, that's why I had Starr in my top list greatest of all time. These Millennials or or later Generation X have no clue

He will if it improves the team.

you are correct....strong leadership & winning games count....some here seem to think a good running team could just snap the ball to the runningback and get the same results
