I am under the impression that this WBC is BIG in the Latin American countries. If so, the US is sort of obliged to join in....half assed or not. I wonder how much interest is shown from Canadian and Italian and Australian fan?

You know, they're trying to drum up interest globally and to field a reasonable teams, so they've gone pretty lax on eligibility. I'm pretty sure it says in the rule book that if you've eaten spaghetti and meatballs at least once in the last six months, you can play for team Italy.

Has anyone suggested that post 15000 be saved for @dougplayer so he can make one more post about 1948, or about Verlander breaking one off, or the Tigers wrapping up the AL Central by April 23....or whatever peeks his interest at the moment? THEN let him create the NEW 2017 THREAD!

That's fine by me, though a little harder to pin down. Some yahoo-D-Backs-fan-fuck could come around and fuck it all up on accident.

Dang...no doug tonite. I was going to ask him if he felt KC has done enough to pass Detroit in a pre-season ranking for 2nd place in the AL Central. I am sure doug can give us a player by player comparison between the Royals and Tigers (crunch the numbers, as he says) and tell us all how it will go down in 2017.

It's worse than that. That thread was started in July of 2013. Going on four years with only 356 comments. Embarrassing. Fuckin homos.

Travis Wood might be the least stimulating signing I can think of.
