There are hardly any catchers that better a lineup.

To the point I don't worry much about a catchers offensive production.

Seems odd.

Regardless, there's debate as to who the best defensive catcher in MLB is. And a couple of those in the discussion dwarf Perez's bat.

I can't wait to see how many of doug's spot-on predictions are wrong for the upcoming season. He was o-fer-everything last year.

I do think he was right several times last year on Verlander "breaking one off" in the opposition. Of course, when you predict that EVERY start.....

And his Cy Young prediction for JV was ALMOST correct, were it not for two brain-dead voters in Tampa.

There's a fine line between "amusing" and "annoying", and he definitely crossed it several times.

When he just talked baseball, we got along fine.
