Anyone in particular you'd want to acquire this deadline, @da55bums ?

there are a lot of guys, not sure what Edinson can actually bring or Morales needs to be dealt too (Chester can DH, Dozier about ready)

Young, Moylan, Wang need to go TODAY and bring up a few to get a touch of the majors, Mills, Junis, Jorge B

Cleveland has quite a few SPs just waiting in the wings

They have, what, ten games against Houston, Texas and Baltimore to go. Two of those will likely be WC contenders.

Can anybody really compare the Tigers to those three teams and put them on top? I don't think the O's have any parts to move for rental players right now but the other two sure do as do the Jays and Sox. I just can't see a scenario where the Tigers can keep up with four of those teams long enough to sneak in.
Nobody plays more games on the road from here on out than Boston.

And they have no pitching. Wright was living on borrowed time before Detroit put his ERA on the correction train like Bauers has been on.

Okay, and David Price probably won't finish with an ERA of 4.26.

And while we're on the discussion of correction trains, when does Fulmer board?

Fulmer? He's got a change up now. Kershaw's watching longingly.

With all of these stupid expensive reliever deals, I think the Royals need to bite the bullet on Davis while his stock is still high. I'm willing to take a chance on someone's top prospect for next year over Davis at this point.

Price will most likely be giving his pocket change to Fulmer soon enough. Atleast 30 cents worth or so.

(It's went up three starts in a row now. Wouldn't have against your Sox, but since we have two relievers and a group BP specialists, Big Bad Brad had to leave him in too long. Imo)

I love seeing Ricky P do well though. Maybe he gets win #14 tonight? Maybe that bullpen continues to be even more awful than Detroits, when it matters?
