You forgot the playoff record against yankees...post that billyjoebob

I didn't forget. They haven't played the Yankees in the playoffs since 2013, meatball.

But if you want me to add playoffs to my numbers, the Tigers are 44-49 against the East since 2013. The Tigers got swept out of the ALDS by the Orioles in 2014.

There were no 2015 numbers to add because the Tigers had the 2nd worst record in the league and didn't make the playoffs.

They had a buckeye banner in a conference room. Almost made me puke....

At this point, I'm surprised you don't have some sort of Stockholm Syndrome affinity for the Buckeyes. It's 13-2 over the last fifteen matchups.

The Ohio State/Michigan Rivalry hasn't been dominated like the last fifteen years since Calvin Coolidge was President.

In fact, I'm hoping Khaki Boy can squeeze some competition out of those pussies up north and make this more like a real rivalry.

Lately, it's been more like the nation's heated cola rivalry.

The cola rivalry between Coke and Shasta.

15 years? More like last 11. But who's counting? Small sample size.
Sure we wish for the days of johnny cooper. Why didn't you include those years?????

@dougplayer

Serious question.

What's it like to be an unabashed homer of teams that suck balls? I mean, the Pistons suck, the Lions really suck, the Tigers are a gutted shell of what they were for those four "spectacular years," and UofM has been tOSU's bitch since you were popping pimples in the high school bathroom.

That's got to be difficult. I feel for you. Thoughts and prayers, Dougy. Thoughts and prayers.

I don't live in the past

Oh yes you do. Part of your # 9886 comment:

"Sure we wish for the days of johnny cooper"

The only person you're fooling by saying you don't live in the past is yourself.

I'll say one thing about the Indians - they need to start winning games vs. out-of-division opponents. Playing .500 ball against the rest of the league screams beating up on a bad division.

Of course the Mets did that last year and made the World Series, so maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah, I'm with you.

They're getting some great performances out of players that haven't done so in the past. That doesn't mean that they won't continue, but without a track record, I wouldn't say that I expect it to continue. We'll see.

Honestly, even with the 2015 Mets example, you're not wrong. They weren't a good team, they were just in a shit division. Doesn't mean that they couldn't get hot and make the WS - anything can happen in the playoffs.

I don't really see them slowing down - the only teams left in their schedule that can cause headaches are the Yankees, Jays, Rangers and Astros and unless they get swept in all 4 series they aren't likely to cough up the division.

A big trade could do them wonders a la the Jays last year, though.

And yet. Indians downward spiral. Last ring was 1948. But Indian fans still have hope. Foolish hope. Now. Who is the homer???

You could even take that further and say the Indians aren't that good, and have just been really lucky to play that pile of shit Tigers team so much.

Take those games out, and the Tribe is only 46-40.

The Indians' run differential is +87. Take the games against @dougplayer's worthless fuck Tigers, and their differential drops to +44.

magic-8-ball.png

It just dawned on me what we have here in dougy....a defective Magic 8 Ball. Inside this 1950-60 toy was a 20 sided die, with various non-committal answers, floating in alcohol. I think that is what we are seeing with doug...except with far fewer than 20 answers. "Outlook good", "Most likely", "Better not tell you now"...and, of course, "It is Certain!"
