Ian Kinsler - Tiger's leadoff hitter for almost all of the season - leads the team with 42 RBI.

A couple more starts like Ventura had today, and KC will be able to pawn the guy off on some team and get something more than an old shoe in return.

Meh... His numbers are still pretty poor. He had good stuff today, but he also beat one of the worst teams in the AL (maybe in baseball). I'm not sure how impressed folks would be. A few more like though... and sure.

They aren't likely to trade him period. It's just a rumor by a yahoo writer looking for clicks. Got real defensive when he got called out about it too like a weasel.

That really is nuts. Especially when you consider that the guys who precede him in the order (7-8-9 hitters) haven't been very good.

3.39 ERA in postseason. His regular season ERA is 3.53. Most of his other stats are better than his career norms.

Come on.

What's your opinion on Danny Duffy?
I waver back and forth with him. He's a mechanical breakdown waiting to happen, and has always had weird variations related to his popup rates which can produce weird babips. Always had raw stuff to be a #2, but I never had much confidence in his command developing. His command seems better presently, but I am not holding my breath given previous iterations. The sustained velocity as a starter is pretty encouraging. His health as a starter concerns me as well.

When asked questions about his command this weekend he talked about pitching around guys, something he claims to never have done prior (bullshit) but he certainly has pitched with a lot more conviction and so far he has the numbers to back that up. He looks great now, but he'll look mediocre within a couple weeks is my guess. What he has done is simplify which pitches he uses from what I have seen during the game. More of a two pitch mix without checking the stats to confirm.
