those teams like the White Sox and Tigers just don't have the pens that can handle the pressure, rather spend the money on Cy Young guys so they can have the lead for more innings.

It's all about dat run differential.

Are pitchers going to stop throwing meat to Merrifield? Doesn't take a genius to see an insideout swing going up the middle when the defense gives that. And Cain hits a homer. Not a single walk, but watching these games he hasn't really been tested that way. Just bad pitching.

Got tickets to Royals and Rays Wed Archer vs Duffy. I couldn't catch them at a better time it seems. Things are feeling like last year again. I'm having lots of fun being a fan right now.

Cuthbert, Eibner and Merrifield all look like vets. I guess these guys spent a lot of time getting here. Its good we are not dealing with big dropoff or just immaturity as we're a team playing for real again. No time for screwing around, just plug em in and win.

So... the Royals have 3 OF'ers left on their 40 man assuming Eibner is DL bound:

Jorge Bonifacio, Reymond Fuentes, and Terrance Gore. One of those obviously isn't going to be called up because he can hit.

Fuentes looked alright early. I was surprised that they brought up Eibner instead considering they tried Fuentes out already.

Fuentes had a shoulder problem and Eibner wasn't long for the bigs anyway, imo.
