Justin Upton - leads AL in strikeouts. Tied for the lead for Ks in spring training stats. .240 BA/1HR/2 RBI.... .255 OBP out of the #2 slot in batting order.

BTW...I am a BIG Upton fan. Of both Uptons. They have both been so good a fulfilling their potentials. Yet I hear they are now both very courteous when they cash their large checks at their banks. They stopped spitting on the tellers years ago.

Nice return for reliever Alex Wilson yesterday, despite the Tigers loss. And Blaine Hardy was activated from the DL today. Together with Justin Wilson, who is tied for the AL lead in holds (5) and has 8 Ks in 5.1 IP, I'm liking the Tigers' middle relief a lot better than I did at the start of the year. The starters are still kinda 'meh', but hopefully that will get better.

Justin Upton is historically sub-par in April. Hopefully when we check back around June 1, this poor start is just a blip.

He was 3-0 vs TB with 3 shutouts vs them in playoffs prior to last night. at least that's what they were stating after 2nd intermission. I missed the boat on that one.

Oh come on. I can't compare to Viceroy. He was a make-believe UM grad, ex-Marine, millionaire business man and owner of several businesses. Close friends with some guys (?) that hung out at Miami bars, and Miami Marlin staff, etc, etc. AND...I have yet to string together 15 posts telling everyone why Juan Uribe is a bum, or why the Royals will finish last, or (best yet) why some guy sold his restaurant. GEEZ....I couldn't even afford Vice's servants quarters at his Brazilian/Mexican home.

And Shane Greene was 3-0 with a 0.45 ERA to start last season. We will see what 30-34 starts from Kennedy shows us.
