I don't actually put to much weight into it. The way the CBA is set up now, limiting practice to some degree, seems to me like you see a lot of rust the first couple weeks or so, across the board.

Newton wasn't awful. There were some bad drops out there - Ginn was wide open on at the 2 and dropped a free TD, for example. Cam had some big runs today, made some key 3rd down conversions. It was a typical ugly Panthers win.

Cutler was actually REALLY good today. If you look at the line score, it looks like he sucked. But, the offensive pass blocking was bad all day and he escaped several sacks and turned them into positive gains. He also had his top 3 receivers battling injuries - especially Jeffery who was not himself.

The one interception Cutler threw was actually a brilliant play by Matthews.
