I have been scratching my head about this possibility for the last couple months.
If the Giants offer a QO, 1) would he accept rather than go after a multi-year pact? 2) if he accepted, would that be a bad thing?
Exactly why attracting a QO to Pagan may not kill his value. Hell, we could offer it, he could refuse it, and we could still sign him to a 2/20, with the understanding that he is a starter for 1 year and a we-will-see after that.At his age, he's probably gunning for a multi-year deal. Granted, a QO might destroy his value, so he might decide to cash out in a familiar environment. I don't think it would be the end of the world if he accepted it either. Blanco would certainly be out. If he declines, he's still one of the top 10 OFers on the market (that's how bad it is), so he should still find work somewhere.
Lefty/lefty matchup for the next 2 batters. Bochy is Bochy, after all.Not really sure why he didn't just stick with Romo, instead of getting 2 more guys in there to finish it off. But whatever.
Some tough luck for the bully there in the 9th, but they still looked good.

I notice that "milk" has basically died since I mentioned I was over it a while back.
Guys, if you still like the practice, have at it. Don't let me dictate the memes we use here...
MILK!
(but for real these things happen organically, only a matter of time)
I'd rather spend the money on quality bullpen help, and go with Mac/Parker in the OF.Exactly why attracting a QO to Pagan may not kill his value. I don't think he will ever hit a bigger HR in his career. Only a 9th inning, walk off, game 7 HR could possibly be bigger.

And yet, he was still not the star of the game...Mother of all bat drops and #Belted 's. I'll never forget that one.
I am of the opinion that if you are up six runs, you should probably throw strikes.Dumb luck for Lopez, who has been much better lately
