Yeah, because Blanco's 3-17 with 7 strikeouts since moving out of the leadoff spot signifies that he is now ready to resume his epic sukkitude in the leadoff spot.

He did, however, hit a solo homerun, so maybe he should be hitting 4th. When's the last time our cleanup hitter hit a homer?

As has been said before, Blanco's GO/AO ration is an abysmal 0.72, meaning he is hitting mostly fly balls.

Choo's ratio is 1.61, and his OBP is a mere .409 (4.11 pitches per PA)

Houston's Altuve's ratio is 1.07, and his OBP is .373 (3.00 pitches per PA)

Hit it on the ground, use some speed, work the count.

I remember Kuip a coupla months ago talking about his early years with the Indians. His manager at the time told him "you ain't a fly ball guy - you're a ground ball guy. Every time you hit a fly ball and make an out, I'm going to fine you." That's what Blanco needs - a kick in the rear (and lots of fines).

odgers playing at etroit.

10-5 Tiggers, still batting with bases full of kittens in the bottom of the 4th, and still no outs

It's now 12-5, top of the 6th. Ryu and Wright got lit up.

The union would never allow a manager to fine a player for that sort of thing today.

Ahem.

"0 for the game with RISP"

"0 for the game with RISP"

"0 for the game with RISP"

But I repeat myself. Hugely disappointed (but not surprised) that Belt and Posey failed to knock Pence in, or even advance him. And can we PLEASE stop the Blanco as leadoff "experiment"?

1st and 2nd, no outs.

Sac bunt? No

Hit and run? No

Advance the runners? only one

Score with a RISP? forgetaboutit!

I am out for a five mile walk. Hold on to the tie, would you fellas?

It may not be about the talent, it may be about the approach and the hitting. I know loyalty means everything, but man, these hitters are terrible with runners on base.
