Just caught up to real time. Good game so far...a little disappointed in Spider as 2/3 innings after we scored were not SDI. 5-3 good guys B6.

I am not watching today, just looking at the box…

Nice to see Sunny with a biggish game. Him getting walks COULD be a big sign that he is starting to see the pitches, and able to spit on the low breaker.

I always have confidence in Webb; not so much in Dovall these days, but he will get it done.

Doval for sure has been shaky but his most recent debacle was the Yankees. Those guys can rake.

Per K&K today: You can walk your way out of a slump. line single, a bloop and two walks today.

A very pleasing win.

Slater was great. Three singles including the game winner after Yaz was hit in the helmet with a pitch.
Chappy had a nice double and didn't throw away the game.
Soler and Wise each with 2 knocks.
Yaz a hit, a walk and HBP.
Spider was good, not great; cruised through 5 and gutted out the sixth.
Walker/Tyler/Camilo 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K. FYWW. Man, this bullpen is really good.

Rallymonkeys coming in for three after the day off tomorrow:

Howard v. Anderson
Winn v. Sandoval
Harry v. Suarez

Take the series and head the the Midwest at .500

Walking indicates that your eye is working. Based on the deep dive done by Aurilia and Winn yesterday, that is Sunny’s main problem right now. So in THIS situation, I think he can “walk his way out” of the slump.

Ex-Giant Donovan Solano Won the game for Pads today with 2 home runs. I think he won the Silver Slugger for us one year or was it the Willie Mac Award ? :noidea: Either way does anyone remember why we didn’t resign him? He always seemed solid for us.

Because even FZ has a limit on how many middle infielders he'll carry.

Felt like the Giants needed a left-handed-hitting infielder all offseason. They did not really address it externally, but if Brett Wisely continues to hit at an above-average rate, there could be a lot of at-bats in a semi-regular utility role.
