Nice to see Sunny with a biggish game. Him getting walks COULD be a big sign that he is starting to see the pitches, and able to spit on the low breaker.

A very pleasing win.

Slater was great. Three singles including the game winner after Yaz was hit in the helmet with a pitch.
Chappy had a nice double and didn't throw away the game.
Soler and Wise each with 2 knocks.
Yaz a hit, a walk and HBP.
Spider was good, not great; cruised through 5 and gutted out the sixth.
Walker/Tyler/Camilo 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K. FYWW. Man, this bullpen is really good.

Per K&K today: You can walk your way out of a slump. line single, a bloop and two walks today.

Walking indicates that your eye is working. Based on the deep dive done by Aurilia and Winn yesterday, that is Sunny’s main problem right now. So in THIS situation, I think he can “walk his way out” of the slump.

Ex-Giant Donovan Solano Won the game for Pads today with 2 home runs. I think he won the Silver Slugger for us one year or was it the Willie Mac Award ? Either way does anyone remember why we didn’t resign him? He always seemed solid for us.

For Rogers, it was his eighth-straight scoreless outing and he allowed a hit for the first time since 5/28.

Felt like the Giants needed a left-handed-hitting infielder all offseason. They did not really address it externally, but if Brett Wisely continues to hit at an above-average rate, there could be a lot of at-bats in a semi-regular utility role.
