Just saw on the postgame MLB is going to officially include Negr0 League stats in the record books. Josh Gibson will now own several hitting records. Pretty big deal and I can predict the reactions from some of you, no idea from others

I guess the idea is that was real baseball with real talent, just another league. At the start the NL and AL didn’t play each other at all,then for awhile only in the World Series so this is basically saying here was another league that didn’t play the NL or AL they played their own league just like the NL and AL once did.

The problem is that the record keeping was iffy at best. Not only are there missing box scores, but there are conflicting box scores as well.

Imam ok with including the numbers, IN THEORY. But in practice, I think this hurts the integrity of the historic stats.

Makes a ton of sense to me, the leagues didn't even play each other at first so if they can include AL and NL stats from then why not that third league? Race isn't the only or even most logical reason to do this. It just makes sense to include all leagues with 'major league' talent and the Negr0 League has that

Great pitching duel but once you get to extras it really favors the home team. I think the Phillies are probably as good as the Dodgers this year but we’ll see
